Pepe is a great keeper and I love him, but if he wants away I would understand his wishes although I'd be gutted. The thing to do is get an auction going and get what he's worth (30-40 mill IMHO). Then obviously we need to invest wisely.

Pepe Reina today dismissed media reports claiming he has told Roy Hodgson he wants to leave Liverpool.
The Spain international exclusively told Liverpoolfc.tv: "I have seen a newspaper has made this suggestion. It is completely untrue.
"I have not told the manager that I wish to leave in January, or at any other time. It is important our fans know this.
"I have a long-term contract at Liverpool and I am fully committed to the club.
"Our new owner met me and some of the other players last week and I was very happy with what he told me."
Reina, who has played in 18 of the Reds' 21 games this season, added: "The entire squad and staff are working very hard to get us back competing at the top of the table. We will not be distracted by inaccurate media speculation."

Oh is it Ferguson, I couldn't work out who it was. Just imagine for a second if I'd have had an avatar of Rafa morphing into another manager, how would that have gone down like.
bigmick wrote:As usual lots of nonsense talked as people jumped on the rumour with glee "well we all know why Pepe fecking wants away" etc etc. So what if it's a complete load of nonsense, at least spending the morning putting the boot in passed a bit of time didn't it?
There'll be anohter rumour along before next week I should think, Torres "I'd much prefer it if we created more chances" or something, which we can all misconstrue into "Roy is a sh!t manager and he plays too defensive and I hate the c...", before Torres points out that he said no such thing.
No need for any "ah right, sorry guys it seems like I was way wide of the mark on this one" either, stuff like that isn't necessary anymore.
