Ye i heard that as well Ciggy that the goalkeeper coach had a big bust up with pepe because it was raining fast and the coach refused to take pepe on the back of his mobility scooter down to the training ground. :laugh:

I don't think rafa or anyone elses influence has anything to do with this. In fact, i think this article is :censored:

Pepe Reina has reaffirmed his commitment to Liverpool Football Club despite the departure of Rafael Benitez.

The goalkeeper - one of Benitez's finest signings - admitted to feelings of sadness after his compatriot left Anfield by mutual consent on Thursday.

However, Reina remains as desperate as ever to help Liverpool challenge for major honours.

"Something like this is always sad," he said.

"Rafa is the one who has always trusted me. I can only give my utmost gratitude for all that he's done for me. I wish him the very best.

"But this changes nothing. I still have a six-year contract with Liverpool."

Doesn't seem majorly upset, just wishing Rafa all the best but fully committed to the club.

Pepe loves the club and would stay here happily for years. Yes he wants reassured about investment like all the players do but, he is severley fecked off with Hodgson, his methods, and his backroom staff. Why should a top 3, if not the top keeper on Earth be told and coached "the English way" by a 69 year old no mark?

would be a sad day for the club if he leaves. We've already lost 2 very good players in the last 2 years. cant afford to lose Reina or Nando.

Im gobsmacked to see some so far saying it will be alright if he leaves ,NO IT FU.CKIN WONT, this player loves us like we love him an if this story is true I wana know whats changed his mind and whats gone on for him to sign a new contract an then want out ,

I hope this is just another bullsh*t story without any basis , but I have a feeling this one has a certain ring of truth to it !

I really hope the owners actually do something to nip this in the bud , because Pepe's loss will affect us not just on the pitch but off it as well.

Where have you heard this about the goalkeeping coach being the reason ?

Lad i get the team off has text and said that IF Reina wants to leave he hasnt said that to any of the players.

Reina himself a few weeks ago he said he doesnt like the new methods of the new goal keeping coach trying to make him play more english style.

Hes won the Golden Gloves 3 times he certainly doesnt need to change his methods to match this 69 year old dinosaurs ones does he?

im not disbelieving you Ben but if thats the case you know as well as i do Pepe has never shyed away from anything and always opened his mouth, to put this to bed he needs to say something , because if he doest them im worried

what exactly IS a more english style of goalkeeping anyway? i've not noticed anything different in pepe's game myself. he still saves shots, catches crosses and looks to distribute quickly. maybe the english way is to let feeble shots trickle between your legs or something, because apart from that i can't think if anything.

Keep hold of the ball and time waste? Since Roys arrived our goals never been peppered so much and Reina cannot distribute the ball to anyone Carras always behind him, watch him next time we play.

i've noticed - and mentioned - before that pepe has sometimes this season looked frustrated because he hasn't been able to distribute the ball as quickly as he would like to, and thats probably because no one is breaking and making quick runs. its got nothing to do with an english style of goalkeeping or english style training though. if pepe is grumbling and wanting out because he can't get rid of the ball as quick as he wants then he's a tenth of the man that the vast majority of us believe him to be.

This is someone that's meant to know Carra.
He text my mate - who fwds the texts on to me.
He was also told when Rooney was meant to be leaving united that he had agreed and signed a 5 year deal about 5 hours before anything was in the media.
Apparantly he had told Stevie and Carra that he had signed it.
