Saying the manager must finish in the top 7... thats a no brainer. Liverpool should never finish below 7th and keep the manager. The current environment is a lot better to work in than just a few weeks ago. (for players + manager).

Think what they are saying is the pressure is already there without people making it worse.
By the way these 3 games that we must win yielded about 4 points last season.
We lost 1-0 at Wigan.
drew 1-1 at stoke
and won 3-2 (i think) at west ham
But if Roy doesnt win all 3 he will get the usual criticism

yeah i guess there are a few that will put the boot into Roy if we don't win em all. Thats their own perogative.
I think id be happy enough with 7 depending on the circumstances of the games. Obviously id prefer 9 though.

The bad results and shocking performances up to the last few games has a lot to do with that. Had we not got something like 8 points out of 24, the pressure wouldn't be there but the patience would. I think that until the Blackburn game a lot of the criticism was fair.

. They're in desperate need of a result too and they've shown in the past - beating Chelsea, Arsenal and ourselves last season - that they're capable of getting one when they need it. At any rate, we certainly shouldn't lose that game but with our form having picked up in a big way recently it would feel like a big opportunity missed if we weren't to win there. Then, we go to Stoke - where a point wouldn't necessarily be a bad result - and after that play West Ham at home, who we should definitely beat. It feels like such a long time since we've won six on the bounce you just can't see it happening, but wouldn't it be fecking amazing if we did. Seven points would be a good effort, though.Return to Liverpool FC - General Discussion
