He said that it was not his intention to offend but if he had done then he would apologise.

Not quite a full blown apology and how he would not expect RB to be offended by the comments about Kenny I don't know but thankfully a line seems to have been drawn under it.

Thanks - the guy don't think before speaking, that's the problem.

He should've know how the fans feel about Rafa, when they sang his name on the Kop during recent games there... and the ones who thanked him in Milan - on there journey to Naples 'Grazie...' - don't belittle the man who delivered No5, because if nothing else, he earnt respect and legend status on that night alone.. :bowdown
THE BRENDAN REVOLUTION IS UPON US !

KING KENNY.. Always LEGEND !

RAFA.. MADE THE PEOPLE HAPPY !

Miss YOU Phil-Drummer - RIP YNWA

Totally agree and this was why he was ill advised to even go there. Whether or not he was/is right was totally irrelevent, you cannot get involved in that discussion and come out on the right side regardless of who you are when you are talking about the pro's.

Even jamie Carragher, a club legend if ever there was one has blotted his copybook forever by daring to say something. Incredible really, but there it is.

Roy also said that he totally agreed with Rafa in that managers should concentrate on managing their own teams . Quality line that.

On the question of Roy, if the supposed team posted up is correct it once again confirms that anyone who thought he was a straight 4-4-2 merchant was just about as wrong as it is possible to be. Playing Johnson in midifield to nullify Cole makes an awful lot of sense to me, as does the alternative of playing Carragher as a sweeper to nullify Drogba and Annelka. Essentially the core of the team is staying the same, plenty of continuity here, along with some very subtle and innovative little variations. I've got a pub full of Chelsea downstairs, and I'd fecking love it if we could beat these feckers.

So you want me banned for pointing out we are 16th in the prem and -4 on goal difference, because I dont think Roys the man to lead us to glory, thats not talking sh!te its having an opinion that differs to yours and guess what pal im not the only one who thinks these thoughts.  They exsist for a reason think about that reason for a second before getting on your high horse !!!!

More sh.ite - where in your original idiotic post about Gerrard single handedly winning the Napoli game did you mention our league position and goal difference. I've said it before that generally I ignore your posts because your such a whinging p.i.t.a !!!!!!!

Today is massive for Roy.

If he somehow manages a win, then we will be top 6, after four wins on the bounce, and nailed on to progress in Europe.

After one of our worst ever starts that would be ironic to say the least.

Talk about turning things around.  Then, those (and I have been one) saying he is not the man for the job will be hard pressed to find a pressing reason to jetison him from the job.

NESV are not knee jerk types it seems, and if this scenario becomes a reality today then they will happily sit tight with Roy for the forseeable. (I think they might anyway...)

This then means that Roy will be in position through the transer window.  Who knows who will actually decide who we buy now, but he will have at least some input, and if he buys anymore elder staesman journey men (Poulsen and Konchesky) then it will be a disgrace and a disaster.

His record in the transfer market is very mixed.  Poulsen and Konchesky versus Cole and Mereiles, and it is safe to say the jury is still out.  If he does get us into the top 6 today (and of course I hope he does) I just hope that January is handled well by the club and Roy.

I for one am really tired of our club now being disregarded when "pundits" mention things like teams that play in the CL regularly, or those that have been top 4 consistently.  It is as if the last six years have been erased from their memory.  Roy needs to re-establish LFC as a team to be feared and reckoned with, and a win today would certainly be a great start!

Gerrard single handedly won the match (or handidly if you prefer)! Don't talk nonsense. Hodgson had the guts to play a bunch of kids and players coming back from injury. He realised that they were up against it and brought Gerrard on for the second half. Benitez would still have been scratching his fkg head at 71 minutes wondering what to do when we were 3-0 down! I think you will also find that the second goal was created by an incredibly gutsy and determined run by Johnson. The third goal was down to some very quick thinking by Lucas. Yes Gerrard scored an impressive hat-trick but he did not do it single handedly.

As I've said before try following Netball because you haven't got a fkg clue about football. All you do is moan and whinge. It's depressing and ruins this forum. It's largely down to the likes of you that some of the quality posters on this forum have moved on.

I find it hilarious that someone can manufacture such a hypothetical statement then use it as as a fact to insult someone with.

Im going to use the same method as you to put my point across. Lets see how well I do

"I think the Newkit Forum would be a far better place of Devaney was hit by a truck"

You see it still has the totally baseless opinion that has no evidence whatsoever to back it up, and its also insults you. Yours is still better though you pretentious tool

Set up today very well against the best team in the country, started with hard pressing and we had plenty of chances and in the second half a fantastic defensive display and we could have even nicked another on

Well in Roy

Roy got it spot on today.

Looking ahead we've got Wigan, Stoke and West ham....there's no reason why we shouldn't win ALL of those and power our way into the top 4  :buttrock
