I wanted a different approach from the new manager.

I wanted Rafa gone, I thought hed taken us as far as he could, wed become stale, the layers had become disillusioned and it was time for change. Has it worked? Not so far.. do i still think we were right to sack Rafa? Yes... and id do it again ina  heartbeat

So nothing specific ? You werent concerned about the set up or tactics or morale or formation as long as it was different .

But your not sure what the different approach is ?

Quite simple Mick -

Dawson wanted a different approach to managing the team hence why he wanted previous manager gone

And i was just trying to find out in terms of

Set-up
Formation
Transfers
Morale
Tactics

What approach he wanted .

I thought maybe the manager of the year was a good choice, someone with premiership experience... and yeah, I thought Roy would have started stronger than he did

When people are being extremely general and not actually validating things its quite essential to find the reasons behind things - if there is actually any  logical reason behind it

Hodgson has stated his way has worked for him for 35 years and didnt feel he needed to change .

So where you not concerned about the brand of football a new person would bring .

Did you want anything in particular

Everything you says just points to - anyone but previous manager .

Ok, last time im gonna say this.

Rafa had to go

Rafa went

We looked around, people said no. would i have taken absolutely anyone? of course not, dont be silly.

One guy said yes, a man with premiership experience, who ahd had a top season, who was taking a chance leaving a safe job

We got him, so far it hasnt worked out

we have started playing a bit further up the field, he is starting to adapt

we need to change mroe, he needs to adapt more, and i hope we do and he does
