Some people are going to find that incredibly difficult to cope with as they will still be advocating the manager "fecks off now" but won't have the old "we're in the relegation zone" to back it up.

There'll be blood on the carpet before xmas, that's my prediction .

Can i have a lend of your chrystal ball please michael.  ???

Only if you promise to stroke it gently mate  :D

We're always gonna have 2 sides to the coin, with neither side ever seeing the other now. Maybe we should calm down til the next couple of games are over. We have won 2 in a row... we got europe tonight, and one of our toughest games of the season at the weekend. After that we got a nice little run where we can really start climbing the table. And this is one of the tightest tables we've seen in  years. Yeah roy has made mistakes, show me a manager who didnt?

It's just getting boring now people basically posting the same things to get the same point across that no one will listen to anyway.

Unfortunately it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference if Roy won his next ten on the bounce. Can you really see any of those who have gone to the depths which they have climbing down and saying "I was wrong about Roy" ???

No, me neither

I think thats a very interesting statement and just about sums up why you'll never be happy with Hodgson even if we win the league.
You dont like him. Full stop. And no matter whether he wins something or not you still wont like him because you wanted someone else.
You want a positive about Hodgson? He was willing to take on a job which no "top" manager (forget Kenny) would have touched with a bargepole. The poisoned chalice wasnt in it. He had the balls (or the stupidity) to say "I'll have a go. I'll try and lift this once proud club back to its former place in football". He stepped up to the plate and took on one of the worst jobs in club football. And what has he got in return? Fu*king disgraceful disrespect and a hate campaign like Ive never seen in my time as a supporter. Even Souness in his worst spell never got as bad as the sh'it Ive heard and seen that Roy gets.
So hes made a few dodgy statements in the press? Theyre on his case constantly because they are over the Fu*king moon to see what a shambles weve become on and off the pitch. Maybe he should keep his mouth shut. Not because hes wrong in what hes saying, but because the backlash is unbelievable, from fans and the previous manager.
Im personally not ar'sed what happens this season as long as weve had a good try and the players perform for the manager. I think we'll end up in the top six and maybe even the top four. But I would take relegation if it got rid of any "fan" who wished ill on the manager, and therefore the club, just because they didnt get their own way.

YNWA (honestly)

yes what has Roy got? well how about we start with £3million a year and the chance of a lifetime to manage a top club, not bad is it.
You have to admit that he has made a complete :censored: of himself with the press and the results have been a disgrace so far although that is as much to do with the players not caring as his negative tactics.
Also I fail to see how it was such a terrible job to take for a b-list manager, I would have thought a lot of top managers would have jumped at the opportunity.

Thats an accusations with no grounding what so ever - i would be over the moon and delighted if we won ten in a row - he would prove me massively wrong and i will shout it from the roof tops because do you know what Mick - it means that Liverpool are successful .

The problem i have with the current manager is what i am seeing on the pitch - simple as that - if that changes then the problems arent there .

They would have been queuing up if the shambles behind the scenes were sorted at the time. Deschamps even admitted that Liverpool had approaced him but circumstances dictated to him that it wasn't the right time for him to take the job. Pellegrini also admitted that he was interested in the job but it looks as though he's off to Malaga now.

yeah I agree that would have stopped most managers which is why i thought we should have got kenny to fill in until that was all sorted out.  That would have been sensible but instead we had that idiot Purslow hiring Hodgson and giving Carra a 3 year contract at £90k a week!!

Hmmm filled with interesting observations there
£3 million a year and the chance of a lifetime to manage a top club isnt bad at all. Whats your point?
Actually I dont think hes made a complete :censored: of himself with the press. I think he has been naive and misguided but people have over-reacted for their own personal reasons.
The results have been disappointing, though I'm glad you added the players as part of the reason.
As far as top managers jumping at the opportunity. Can you name any?

That question was asked many times last season and below is the list of manager people said would JUMP at the chance to manage us

Mourinho
Hiddink
Cappello
Redknapp
Moyes
Lippi
Pellegrini

It was always the same answer Thommo - Top managers would jump at the chance of managing such an illustrious club

but no one did jump at the chance... in fact in the months after Roys job a few came out saying they had turned it down
