Benitez squandered money for 6 years, the one time we looked like we might Challenge Ferguson out psyched him and he went on his humiliating "fact" rampage and we blew the lead and then plumetted to 7th.

Yet Roy is supposed to stem this freefall in just 7 league games?

At this rate though Hodgson will be going for a title next season - the Football League Championship Title. We were never in the bottom three under Houllier or Rafa. Not even Souness's team was this bad.

Why didn't Roy bother to at least try and get Van de Vaart? Is there actually any point to the £10m Meireles? What is Cole's role in the team? Behind Torres, on the left where? Does Roy know? Does anyone know? Is Jovanovic any better than Voronin? I'm not convinced.

From what I can see Hodgson's buys already look worse than the worst of Rafa's. I wasn't convinced the night we could only put 2 past Rabontcki. It should have been 5 or 6 given how poor they were and given who was playing for us.

No one is expecting Roy to turn it round at once but the bottom three even after 7 games? There's no structure, direction or cohesion about the side. What happens after the international break will determine how many more weeks Hodgson is manager of LFC as far as I can see.

Wrong you numpty, Rafa had to sell to buy... the owners didn't give to Rafa in his last 2 seasons...

So selling Alonso (who he tried to get rid of for 10m the year before to part finance Gareth Barry) and replacing him with Acqua was good management? spending all the remaining budget on a full back that cannot defend was good management?

Benitez treatment of our most important player was the start of his fukk ups. He just got worse and worse - do you defend spending 38m on Acqua and Johnson? we could have bought Tevez for 30m, put SG with masch in the middle and bought a full back for 8m.

This is a Hodgson thread not another platform to carry on with your bitter hatred towards our previous manager - get over it .

So you start the attack on Roy by comparing him to Benitez, then when we point out that we don't rate Benitez, WE are accused of dragging up the old manager?

I believe before our game against blackpool, the criticism of Roy on here was constructive and with foundation... Roypologists like you were the ones abusing other posters like Benny for voicing their opinions...

IT IS F*CKING EMBARASSING TO BE IN THE RELEGATION ZONE.

Off the field we have been a joke for a few years but now the performances have well and truly caught up. I dont care if you didnt like Rafa Benitez, but why the hell do you think you should be able to rip him to shreds but other fans shouldnt be able to have an opinion on how sh*t the new guy has done so far? Is that not a touch hypocritical. Dont say its only 7 games, its been over double that and we have been absolutely dreadful.

So we are not allowed to have an opinion? We are calling it as we see it the same way you were last season. Rafa should have been given time to turn it around be he wasn't. Anyway that's in the past now......
