If Roy had just taken over from say Mourhino, MON, or Hiddink we would still be in the relegation zone.

The owners gave benitez 38m to spend, he wasted it on Johnson and Acqua. That is why he was to blame.

Roy hasn't been given money.

Wrong you numpty, Rafa had to sell to buy... the owners didn't give :censored: to Rafa in his last 2 seasons...

So selling Alonso (who he tried to get rid of for 10m the year before to part finance Gareth Barry) and replacing him with Acqua was good management? spending all the remaining budget on a full back that cannot defend was good management?

see my above post...

edit: And WRONG again Juventus offered 12 million which Rafa didn't accept...

Benitez treatment of our most important player was the start of his fukk ups. He just got worse and worse - do you defend spending 38m on Acqua and Johnson? we could have bought Tevez for 30m, put SG with masch in the middle and bought a full back for 8m.

Mourinho would have left us as champions. You think Roy would have brought us from champions to bottom 3, you think we'll stay there with him as manager?

This is a Hodgson thread not another platform to carry on with your bitter hatred towards our previous manager - get over it .

I think people are forgetting how poor Kenny was as a manager.. all those years and years ago when he last managed

WTF?  He won 3 league titles and 2 FA Cups in his 6 years managing Liverpool. We never finished lower than 2nd in the league.

Then he did a good job at Blackburn.  Won them the league.  After that he had a bad spells at Newcastle but he was never a bad manager

There is no proof that Mourhino would have made us champions, but say we had finished in the top 4 last season under any other manager and Roy came in the summer, we would still be in the bottom 3. So its pointless blaming Benitez.

Instead of coming out with more waffle about relegation dog fights do us all a fucking favour Roy, next time you open yer gob, come out with the words "I resign" before you embaress us any further.

Don't be ridiculous Rafa left a very good squad...weren't you anti-Rafa's saying that the squad was good enough, it's the manager who couldn't get the best out of them? now you change your tunes conveniently...

Also Benayoun and Riera had problems with Rafa... but Roy could've persuaded them to stay... but he didn't...
