Roy hasn't the balls to say he's fúcked it up.

Roy has the balls to take the shít himself instead of the players, which is valiant.

When a team that isn't used to be near relegation is in that situation, the anxiety appears, and a big game is not precisely the best place to remove the anxiety.

Roy is taking on himself the pressure, he knows it's the best thing he can do, and he's sure the team will improve. So am I.

But, the owners must go.

Well after todays shower If i were manager i would put the whole squad on the transfer list.

However I will be in the minority in that I do not support the sacking of the manager. I have thought for a long time we were punching above our weight with the players we have. Again we have spent £20 million on four average players, rather than one decent one.

When you are rebuilding a team there is no point signing players who will not add something. Cole does.. however the others do not, and specifically poulsen - he is no better or worse than what we already had. If he was supposed to be a replacement for Masch then its the biggest joke I have ever seen.

We now have a squad that is plenty big enough, and can now be improved upon. However the players we have will struggle to win anything. I accept that this season we will possibly finish out of the top 6, maybe even the top 8. The transfer window will be key. Money has to be invested, or we are looking at years rebuilding.

I also, at the very back of my mind wonder, that if we slip down the league and lose the income from European football we may lose all our best players, and end up in a similar position to Leeds. Just because it is Liverpool, the greatest football club in the world sadly does not mean we have a right to win anything, and if we do not get some investment in there is now a small chance that the unthinkable will happen.#

Troubling times. But it is not the manager we have to change, its those yank idiots who are asset stripping us like an oil comany.

I would prefer, as of now, that none of the players speak to any of the media. Im sick of hearing "its our responsibility" "we have to work harder" "were in this together" bla blah Fu*king blah
Im not Fu*king interested in what theyve got to say. Action. Not bullsh'it.
Get a grip you sh'ithouses before its too late

I disagree about not sacking Roy, but of course agree about new owners. Hodgson out NOW. He is clueless, i was sticking with him but today just hurt so much. I would love O Neill, he would give this team a kick up the :censored:, and bring some :censored: passion. I know everyone is saying its the owners but there is such thing as a :censored: manager.

This is just embarrassing, losing...to Blackpool...at home...

With O'neil we aint gonna get good football either though, though at least you know Martin would be bringing in some proper f*cking wingers asap, though he'd also be bringing in a big cart workhorse CF in the Heskey mould, I dont think I could take watching any more launch football :no

O'Neill was probably a stronger candidate when we got rid of Houllier.

Has his stock/reputation improved whilst he was at Villa?

Strong first half of the season followed by weaker second half in most cases.

Buying Emile Heskey amongst his transfer dealings.

Walking out at the start of the season.

Has anyone got any positive spin on the current situation?[/quote]

The only positive is that this farce is reducing the value of the club by the day, making it more likely that the odious H&G will be forced out. This is the only positive.

Is 2 seasons too much to give a manger? (personally, I say 3, but I won't push it)

17 games he has had now - we had a very poor season last season of that there is no doubt but this season is trumping it in all respects currently - if we keep going this way we won't be even in top half come the end of the season and you want to give manager another season maybe even two - is that to drag us further downhill

do you think any manager could take over a sliding team (7th best last year) and turn them around in 7 games.

People waank on about Harry Redknapp but he has spent a fortune at spurs.

Roy has little money. 7 games to undo all the damage of the last few years? ???? ????

Only the league and CL are worth much, we aren't in the CL and won't be next year so use this year to build for next season.

Couldn't just have reasonable owners, a team that plays reasonably good football and that is quite capable of maintaining a top four slot, could we?  ???

I do think that there needs to be fundamental change at the club but I don't think that Hodgson is the right man to take the team forward as part of that change. His personality doesn't exude confidence and his continental tactics are more backward than Rafa's which to my mind is the main problem at the moment with the players, who by and large are the same players that reached 86 points 17 months ago.

'Will we beat Blackpool?'...............  that thread name will go down in history.

The fact we lost at home and were 2 goals behind is mind boggling. No matter what you think of the manager you have to admit something is seriously amiss.

Its too early to sack him, but I wouldnt hesitate if it hasnt improved by christmas.
