The difference is Lucas has contributed to some important wins - obviously he contributions haven't been enough but he has at least contributed

Lucas isn't good enough, period. The fact that Rafa bought him, the fact that he was picked for the Brazil squad, or the fact that he's 23 matters not a jot. Earlier, you described them both as "extremely sub-standard". You were spot on. For a club like Liverpool they fall well short of the required standard.

For a club like Liverpool many of the squad fall way way below standards.

Poulsen would be more use handcuffed to the goal frame blindfolded with his shorts round his ankles.

add Maxi / Jova / Lucas / N'gog to that list nanny.

After last night I don't think I have ever went to sleep after watching a reds game in such a state of disbelief and clutching at straws that the last 14 months had been a nightmare. How can it be that the greatest club in England and one of the Kings of Europe have been left with this drudgery or rejects getting picked on the field, yes I am talking about Poulsen and him taking 2 seconds to take a touch and control the ball and spend 3 seconds to decide that he needs to pass it back to the CB's and they need to hike it long.

It's a sad state of affairs when 12 months ago we were all calling for Kuyt's head for bringing nothing to the team, now he's one the players, which if we lost we would seriously be hurt on the field.

Poulsen, despite having a reasonable career, was a laughing stock in Italy at Juventus. I think one notable Italian newspaper voted him flop of the season when he joined Juventus.

Its like AC Milan signing Lucas from us. Why would one top club buy a player who has totally failed at another club?

You're definitely not alone Nan.
I don't see how he is played before Lucas, way too slow in mind and legs.

When Blackpool's second goal was analysed on MOTD it showed the gaping hole in the middle in front of our defense where the BP lad picked up the ball. I could see Poulsen on the bottom of the picture where he'd chased out to left mid but he just feckin jogged & didn't even try to get to where the danger was. feckin useless tw@t.
