This transfer blog has us linked with a move for Christian Poulson. I reckon the Danish defensive midfielder would be classed as a replacement for Mascherano when he undoubtedly goes to Inter. Poulson is 30 years old so could offer some good experience at a reasonable price.

As a dane I can say that his days are over....he is an okay midfielder but he is not so good as he was in his Schalke days.

In his first season in Sevilla I liked him a lot, then I lost his track when my local team was relegated.

How old is he? Good defensive midfielder, no doubt.

He had a sh!te world cup and the other day Big Jan was saying that the guy's best days were behind him. I think I'd be inclined to agree.

Sh!te in the sense that it's obviously not "only the 30 year olds" that we can afford (age is but one determinant of value). Granted, it may turn out that we look for someone older and cheaper but there are sure to be a few out there - like Flamini - who are both young and affordable.

Look at the average age at Fulham...................... Of course it is a risk with a manager from the "limited budget" mentality club, looking for bargains but at completely the wrong level and often wrong age band.

James probably thought he had a shot at returning to Liverpool

Looks like Roy is a big fan of Poulson, Even before he became our manager he picked him out as one of the ten players to look out for in the world cup. heres a list of his players,

Only two of them are the obvious choice imo, im talkin outfield players
