Our game improved tremendously after Poulsen came off.

I already despise this guy...almost like Igor!...God, I hav forgotten how I cringe every time I see Biscan's name in the team sheet. Salif Diao is not much better...!

Poulsen is so bad that even my 14-year-old son screamed at him a couple of times during our live telecast....

Once again showed his is not good enough and way out of his depth - I'm sure he would be more suited to a slower paced league but definatly not the prem - 4.5 million wasted still

Some of Christian Poulsen's biggest supporters on Newkit seem to have abandoned him when he could do with a little bit of their support.......he is receiving some poor reviews at the moment and we need a few of the Lucas haters to reassure us that Poulsen is still the better of the two...come on your absence on this thread speaks volumes      ???

in the defensive mid role he is simply to slow and lazy to play the role with any success

he is arrogant too, cause he thinks he can rely on his positioning (which is clearly good) but hes to slow to do it overall

lucas over him in that role, and thats saying something

Lucas is prob not good enough to start every game for us but he certainly brings more to the team than Poulsen who so far has not brought anything to the team , he just doesn't have the pace either in his legs or in his mind to keep up with the speed of the games in the prem - he always seem to arrive just as they past it away or just easily go past him and every game I have seen from him he just looks like a passenger wandering round the pitch - the loss of masher left a massive hole in front of the back four and Poulsen can't fill - would even rather have spearing in there or give Shevely a go and when you look at the other options that IMO are better including Meireles and Gerrard it seems to be a waste of 4 million that could and should of gone towards a striker . Just fail to see what he offers the team

I know you're referring principally to BigMick here, but I actually agree with him re. Lucas. He just isn't good enough. I remain unconvinced about Poulsen but he's only been here for about 0.006% of the time Lucas had to prove that he wasn't up to it, so I'm prepared to wait. He is not a patch on Mascherano, though, that much is/was obvious.

Wild accusations: I refer to nobody in particular, just an open question to the abundance of Lucas haters who jigged with delight at the signing of a 30 year old who according to the great Dane "is rubbish on a bad day and mediocre at best".....I've seen nothing to cast doubts on Jan's opinion but I will wait before I rank him higher than Lucas for a spot in the midfield.

It's true I have been posting less but it's not related to Poulsen I swear  :D

I liked a lot this player in Sevilla and I haven't seen him anywhere else, and I'm still confident he'll bring  better football than he has offered so far and he'll be much better than Lucas.

And if I'm wrong, nobody dies!, it's just my opinion.  :nod

Still 6 games in the season, if by December we all see his performance is still mediocre then I'll say I'm dissapointed, but I trust this guy's football provided he trains hard.

Lucas needs to be a regular starter especially  for home games  alongside Meireles with Gerrard playing on the wing supplying Torres with the crosses
I really cant envisage a team devoid of anyone capable of making a tackle and if Lucas is sold we will be exactly that .....the Lee Cattermoles and Joey Bartons of this world will be rubbing their hands at the prospect of facing a toothless midfield .... Cattermole in particular had a veritable field day on Saturday as did Fletcher last Sunday .....

Of course he will. The premier league is a fast league and requires the best fitness levels, and this league has some of the fittest players in the world.

All in all though, Poulsen hasn't had a great start but like I did Lucas I will give him the benefit of the doubt and give him time.
