At least Lucas plays for the shirt, meaning he should be in agaist the bitters.
I`m supprised at how sh!te Poulson has been, also that he was brought in as a first teamer. Lucas might not be the best player in his possition but just now he`s streets apart from Poulson, he stunk the place out.

WTF has Rafa got to do with Poulsen?

Bob Paisley was 100% against 'Hudson' type players - midfielders who dropped back into the back 4 to get the ball.

Rafa? go back to Paisley who learnt from Shankly to see that Poulsen was a bad buy.

FFS, there is some shíte posted on this forum in the wee hours.

Poulsen has clearly not been nearly good enough for us yet, but I still have to say that some of the comments about him in here are somewhat ott. He's not the sole reason for our incredibly weak start to the season you know (for example NO ONE is able to create much going forward), nor has Lucas suddenly become the messiah. We need a third option instead is what I think, but as that is not possible atm these two mediocre players will have to fight it out for the time being. But to lay all blame squarely on Poulsen (and/or Hodgson) is just too easy, just as it was too easy to blame Lucas (and Kuyt for that matter) for everything that went wrong last season. This scapegoat-thingy needs to stop imo and certainly when NONE of our other players are exactly lighting up the field (how awesome a saviour has Cole* been up until now ???).

*This is just an example and I could have put forward any other player so please don't make this into a "Cole-is-better-than-Poulsen-debate" :D

Easy tiger ! I didn't mean it as an offence to rafa. I meant it as he is a player who, while there is nothing outstanding to him as a midfielder he gets the job done. Ok at this minute he is far below on form but when on form he does get the job done, nothing special, just gets on with it.

As much as I felt we needed a change of manager I have respect for rafa for what he did achieve during his time here, some of the best results against teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid and some of the greatest comebacks I have ever seen.

It's a poor do when you wouldn't mind your own player getting injured on international duty.

Jono's little clip with Ari there pretty sums up my feelings for Poulsen.

A typical example of a player who looks decent overseas but will NEVER EVER get to grips with the prem. For the little money we had, i'd say he's gotta be one of the worst buys this season.

Sorry Mick, i really cant see where and how you can defend this player. Im 31 and for Sunday team move around and distribut a hell of a lot better than this dud. He is AWFUL

anyway, he was decent. he is not anymore. his best years have gone. maybe 3 years before he could have done a better job, but it was pretty clear than he has not the level for a top club anymore.

He's a good player, the only question is whether or not he can adapt to the Premier League. We'll see, but I haven't given up hope on having the last laugh on this one yet :;): .

You know Mick, when i seen we were going to get him i thought the same also. But, i really believe this his Hodgson's Morientes!

He's just past it and not able to adapt. Far too immobile now.  But here's praying
