Someone posted this on RAWK its about them expecting us being mediocre its a bloody good post aswell.

When you look at our team sheet compared to Birmingham on Sunday we should not only have expected to win but to win comfortably - there was not a single position where we were inferior - if Hodgson was expected to deliver more from less than surely the expectation should have been a win? So why the acceptance of mediocrity?

Against WBA we struggled to a win but were still largely second best again against a team who on paper should have been battered and lucky to score nil. We have players who are extraordinarily better than theirs - ignoring systems and tactics and settling in - why is it acceptable to be outplayed at home by an inferior side?

The minimium we expect is hard work and the courage to try.

It appears accepted that our players are treading water but I thought Roy was brought in to breathe new life into the team?

I've always thought Liverpool can win any game against anybody but the people in charge appear to want to tell me what I should believe - they want to change what I grew up believing - what for me was the Liverpool way - that together we can succeed whatever the odds - its not about anything other than belief - its not about millionaire players or wage bills its about a belief in ourselves - we dont have any god given right to be successful - its hard bloody work and the single mindedness to succeed.

its not about $£ - its not even about pass and move - its about belief in the club in ourselves that we are the greatest club in the world - the board and the manager have betrayed that - its unforgiveable.

my expectation is that Liverpool football club is the greatest football club the world has ever seen - i've sung it often enough - not great because of trophies or ££'s but because of its spirit and its belief in itself - the jokers in charge have no clue and I include Uncle Roy in that - some of the platitudes he's come out with are a disgrace - homespun wisdom my @rse he's playing us like a fiddle and I aint buying it - we may not finish first or 4th - do Stoke and Bolton and Blackpool give up because of that? do they expect the champions league - no they fight for 3 points every game - thats all that we should be worried about - one game at a time - 3 points fight for your life come off the pitch having given everything -
we just aint doing it - players, manager, fans - its not good enough to 'not be disapointed with a draw', its not good enough to 'not expect the title' - I dont expect a title - I expect the players to try and win every bloody game - we need leadership on and off the pitch

why cant we just take Agger's words seriously? he didnt have a pop at Rafa or anything. I'd rather he's making the noises he is rather than saying the training camp is miserable and void of confidence

I am taking what he said seriously mate - it is good they are happy in training but it will mean nothing until they translate it into their performances on the pitch and get the confidence back while playing - that's where we want them to be happy - playing games .
