You obviously havent watched Fulham much we played like Barca compared to the sh!te they served up won 1 away game last season against portsmouth on the opening day of the season..

Ask yourself this and give me an honest answer would he get a job at Man United, chelsea, Arsenal, City, or Spurs. My answer is No whats yours?

Lynds, how many times did you watch Fulham play last season and the season before? Enough times to have a definitive opinion on the set-up, style of play and tactics over the course of the season? I know they parked the bus at Anfield, successfully I might add, but Hodgson teams (as far as i'm aware) look to get it on the deck and play good football. I think you're well wide of the mark if you think Hodgson will set us up to defend week in week out.

Will admit i only watched whenever they were on super sunday but did watch them play in europe and then it was a set up to try and counter with many men behind the ball looking for the big punt up field to zamora .

About 15 times Zzzzzzzzz

Alan Hansen on MOTD last season said you would probably be better watching teletext after one of their games thats says it all.

Well they looked pretty bloody exciting when they put three past Juve from 2-0 down on aggregate so there's hope yet!

Not sure I can Arsenal shelling that sort of weekly salary on any player mate. They have had a fairly strict wage structure for years.

I commented in the other thread about this. I honestly reckon if Arsenal offer this to Cole then they'll end up having to offer similar wages to their better players to get them to stay

Yeah I saw them a few times.. lots of long ball football. Ugly at best. You never know with a different set of players he could take a different approach.

I'm amazed that people slag off the way Fulham played last season when we served up the turgid and dour offerings which we did week in and week out. Fulham are or were a passing team under Hodgson. They spanked the Mancs a couple of times at Craven Cottage and gave us a good hiding there too. Quite what people expect such a club to do when they go away to Old Trafford and Anfield I don't know, but you have to laugh.

If you need a clue of how they play the game, look at the players they've got. Our own Danny Murphy strolling about in central midfield, Damien Duff on the wing, Simon Davis on the other wing, Zoltan Gera flitting about, Bobby Zamora up top and completely paceless. Are we realy going to beleive that a team with such personel is going to lump it long all the time . How are the players going to get up in support, how are they going to keep going for 90 minutes unless they pass it on the deck and build? Are they going to lump it over the top for Zamorra to use his pace, are they going to wait for a lung bursting sprint forward from Danny (Linford) Murphy?

Don't believe in the manager all you like, that's your perogative. Disrespect his football knowledge and standing in the game, ditto. Take the mickey oput of the way he speaks, ditto again. But please, if we do ever get around to discussing football lets at least try and keep it sensible  .

I'm amazed the this discussion is on-going.

Roy is now manager nnd must be given a chance - he was not my choice for the reasons still being argued on here, but you know what, just like slating Rafa NOW.. is no good to anyone, neither is all this.

I won't do a Maradona and promise to run naked in the streets of London, if we win the league under this manager... but I am willing to see where his reign leads us ! and I advise friend and foe to do the same.
THE BRENDAN REVOLUTION IS UPON US !

KING KENNY.. Always LEGEND !

RAFA.. MADE THE PEOPLE HAPPY !

Lets see. You've got Danny Murphy in central midfield who's about as fast as me but is a nice footballer. Let's just miss him out  and launch it to our pacy front man who's even slower, Bobby Zamorra. All we gotta do is tell Bobby to stop standing with his back to goal, and get Danny a moped to get up and down the pitch, and we might be onto something :D

We've got Damien Duff who's in the twighlight of his career down one flank, Simon Davis ditto down the other. Lets play a high tempo game where we launch it into the mixer and tell them to get around it for the knockdowns. Two more mopeds please.

Thank God our new manager has something of a clue and decided not to play this way. People who moan about his record might have had even more of a point if he had.

Have to agree with Mick on this one, Danny Murphy has had a cracking couple of seasons at Fulham and I have to wonder how he would have managed that in a long ball side? I remember watching the games they had with the mancs and seem to recall them bossing possession for long spells, especially two season ago when Rooney blew a casket and luzzed the ball at the ref to get sent off.
