You'd think he'd of been there to add some credibility, he was supposedly part of the process to bring a manager in?

Just Broughton and Woy alone?  Flimsy, very flimsy.

I think Kenny will be off.... he has been undermined publicly by that tw@t Purslow and the other cunt ... he's lost to much face over this farce  :(

How has he been undermined?

He lost a certain amount of credibility when he proffered himself as manager of Liverpool Football Club and his request fell on deaf ears to put it simply his pleas were ignored , with all the contempt we have come to associate the current regime with ......... does that answer your question ?

Thought Broughton was harsh on Kenny alright. Said Kenny put himself forward for the job but Broughton told him he wasn't a candidate. Didn't say why not and it's a pity no-one asked him. If I was Kenny I'd seriously consider walking but hopefully he can swallow his pride. As usual we don't have all the information though - what reasons would Broughton have for not wanting Kenny as manager, he certainly would have been cheap.

Ill bet your there fecking made up with that not asking how much money . because you know what the answer would of been, NONE

He's probably even more made up with the possibility of negotiating a deal for the best striker in the world to his beloved Chelsea.

I think Broughton realises  a club with Torres and Gerrard is an easier sell so I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt on this to be honest.

Didn't he also say a few weeks ago that if Torres wanted to pursue titles that he should move at it would take a few years to get us back on track?

He is a Chelsea fan ffs, a 1 day a week guy running the club.

I doubt Broughton would risk his professional reputation just to have Torres @ Chelsea..... they won the league last year and are in pretty good shape so I think its unrealistic to think he needs be under handed.it's  my opinion I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. Broughton is here to sell the club coupled with some other fiduciary duties.

Only thing is both of their strikers are aging and all other world class strikers are all tied up nicely in big clubs... who wouldn't glance at Torres and the situation he's in with greedy eyes... I'm not saying he's directly undermining keeping Torres at Liverpool but let's just say he's not a good influence... far from it...

Having anyone other than a Liverpool supporter as Chairman is never an ideal scenario. However I think Broughton's calm and confident nature is why he was chosen to act as Chairman and of course sell Liverpool. I would trust Broughton over Purslow , I think he was pretty spineless not attending the press conference today.

We can only hope Spain get knocked out of the World cup this weekend so Torres' future can be sorted

I really do hope everyone supports him and people defend him just as Rafa was.  I think he has a good read on how frustrated the supporters are and probably noticed that we weren't exactly jumping for joy at the thought of him being our manager.  I just hope that we, as supporters, find it in ourselves to support him through thick and thin.

Mate many will support Roy and back him but theres some fans here that dont like any sort of tough times and turn tail and run when things get ugly

I take it you haven't seen Fulham play the last couple of seasons. :D

You mean play their :censored: off every match?

Everyone with this "Holy :censored: Hodgson is our Manager now, we should just set ourselves on fire now, he's gonna sign Zamora and Gera and Michael :censored: Brown"  Get a quick hold of yourselves.  Can we let the man have ten minutes in the job before we string him up?

Hold on there, Im not saying hes a :censored: manager.  Just don't expect to see the team play Barcelona style football under him.

Oh ruskiy, why do you have to be mean and deny all the eternal optimists on here the anticipation...................................!

What makes me laugh is noone is allowed an opinion without someone having a go at them like some poxy dog yapping at your heels all the time. OPINIONS are allowed, at least I don't think the mods have completely banned them just yet, just exercising as much control over them as they can.

I've said it before, if you'd asked Liverpool fans who they'd want as manager six months ago before the speculation began, Woy would not have been named by anyone (worth p'ssing on) It's ironic that plenty are saying Woy is a "yes man" while plenty are becoming a "yes fan", that is to say they're accepting second best being enforced on them and not going to fight for their true belief. All this "backing the manager" bu11sh't does my head in, I support LIVERPOOL FC and not the manager blindly and without concern because the manager impacts heavily on the club and the club is already screwed enough without needing mr mediocrity in charge.

And what I love about voicing concerns early is I'm more than happy to be proved wrong, but the problem is I sincerely doubt he'll break new ground, probably will sit nicely in comparisons with either Souness or Evans. What I don't like is everyone seems to be setting the bar so f in low, might as well have stuck with Rafa although that may be the ulterior motive of some doing just that, making us believe/conclude/say that Rafa should have stayed.
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer
