Rush was my fav.  (Also liked Dalgleish)

But now has to be Stevie G, poetry in motion!!  (And where would we be without him).

The Master Zidane ofcorse for me. He had some awsome years in the mid-late 90's and there was only one 'best player' then and it was Zizou !!!

Take a wild guess who my all time favourite is!!! :D

I'm old enough to remember Rushie's partnership with KIng Kenny although I can't vividly remember any specific games from their era apart from the '86 cup final. I am lucky enough to have seen them play when their partnership was one of the deadliest around though.
I can still remember Rushie's testimonial back in the early '90's and the moment when they were both reunited on the pitch together for the first time since Kenny's retirement. That is probably one of the biggest roars I have ever heard inside anfield and i can vividly remember the stadium shaking when they showed their old magic was still there when rushie scored his goal.

My best player is obviously Gerrard. Stevie G has been brilliant ever since he made his debut. He dragged the rest of the team during the last year of Gerard Houllier. Being made captain also gave him exactly what he needed.

thegreenred you dont need Heighway anymore we have Bolo Zenden to glide past people :D

Favourite player would have to be someone I watched as a kid growing up, so it would have to be someone from 'best team ever' from the '88 vintage.
Gary Gillespie, might be an obscure choice but always something I liked about him. Maybe something to do with the fact I was a centre-half at school.

Fowler loved this guy to bits, while Stevie G has a special place in my heart.

Non LFC. While there were loads of other players I admired, Bergkamp and Ronaldo were my favourites.

Although Messi is quickly becoming my new favourite player.

Favourite player has to be Souness. I loved the way he played. He reminded me of myself. Good passer got stuck in and scored some good goals. Made a mess of us as a manager and that's why I only remember Souey as a player.

...The stats speak for themselves; five League Championships, three European Cups, four League Cups and 1 FA Cup during seven eventful seasons at Anfield. 56 goals in 356 appearences.

Reg, Graeme Souness played from 1978-1983 under the Great Bob Paisley (taking the captaincy in 1982 when Phil Thompson's from wobbled) and 1 season 1983/84 under Joe Fagan capped by lifting the European Cup at the Rome Olympic Stadium after beating Roma. Souness was a glorious captain, probably the best one ever despite Stevie G having a claim to that honour (he will be the greatest if he picks at least 1 Premier League champion medal as it is much more difficult to compete against the financial might of Chelski nowadays), but in all of his time as a Liverpool player, success in the FA Cup eluded him.

Souness did win an FA Cup with Liverpool in 1992 as the manager.
