from bbc sport:

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has revealed that midfielder Steven Gerrard is set to play for the club's reserves as he nears a return to action.
The England midfielder has not played since breaking a metatarsal in his foot on 20 September at Manchester United.

But after Liverpool's win against Crystal Palace on Saturday Benitez said: "Steven will play for the reserve team (against Wolves) on Monday.

"We are hoping that he can play with us this week."

Gerrard is hopeful of making his first-team return against Middlesbrough on 20 November.

Certainly a fantastic boost in both terms of playing strength and morale wise, coming at a good time with a tough sked ahead
