While I was growing up I use to love watching Ian Rush. Every time I watched Liverpool on TV he'd be scoring almost every game. John Barnes was another favorite of mine and so was Craig Johnstone, but if I had to name one it would have to be Rushie. He'd have to be the original Welsh Wizard, wouldn't he?

Rush since he was playing when I saw my first footie game.

The best player ever is going to be Ronaldinho.

Got to be John Barnes for me, with Rushie pushing him for a close second and then Robbie 'God' Fowler.

Barnes from my childhood definatly remember him at about 7 years old tearing defenses apart, Fowler (so glad he is home), Carragher and Gerrard

Without a shadow of a doubt Riise! It seems he's unstoppable if he decides to have a run at goal.
Killer left foot and the air of expectation he generates makes for a heart-stopping game.
Don't get me wrong - by no means the best player around but I'd hate to see him wearing another shirt
and I'm with 2520years, hate those three, and can add Roy Keane to that list
God's job's a good 'un - Robbie Fowler

just reading through this and it shows how many either were not born in our golden period 75-85........
or people are just too daft to recognise world class players.......

how many on here are old bástards like me,who remember Shanks and Paisleys teams.:D

I'm french suporter of Liverpool and it's my first message here and in a english forum!
So my english is not really perfect excuse me and say me when i make a fault!
I would like to know what do u think of "Djib" Cissé?
He doesn't play often and so doesnt strike (?)
Do u find it's a good player?
otherwise i'm a great suporter of girondins de bordeaux (not the wine!!;) )we are 2nd behind Lyon and we come back for the 1st place! We go to play in the champion's league the next year and I dream to go see a match at anfield it's the biggest stadium (atmosphere) in europe! with maybe the come back of smicer!
Thank's for all, see u!
