My favourite Non Liverpool players  would have to include:
Rodney Marsh ,brushed with genius.
Liam Brady ,simply blessed with close control most players can only dream of .
Frank Worthington scored goals with contemptible panache ,and was completely out of his tree when doing so .
Dennis Bergkamp ,some of his goals were simply meant to be accompanied by an orchestra ,such was there beauty .
Matthew Le Tissier ,Genius no other word for the guy ,made football look easy .

Outside of English football .
Michael Laudrup ,No god given right to do the things he could do with a ball at his feet .
Johan Cruyff ,played football with an arrogance you could only stand in awe and admire .
Hristo Stoichkov powerhouse of the Barcelona team ,the Mancs will certainly never forget him , that's for sure .
Romario ,explosive little Brazilian striker that could have played for any top team in Europe.

My favourite non LFC player also, he was awesome. His left foot was absolutely bloody lethal.

I wish we had a Ray Kennedy style player today.

Alonso or Kennedy, now there's a tough call for the older lads?

kevin keegan would probably be mine, if you grew up in the 70`s you wanted to be kevin keegan even if you werent a liverpool fan, he was the best player in english footy throughout the 70`s.

We had a deal to sign him in 1983 but after agreeing a 3 year deal with him we changed our mind and wanted 4 so he ended up signing for Juventus.

I don't recall him having one weakness ,accept say his temper ...He was for all intense and purposes the complete striker 78 goals in 151 games for Barcelona
in his first stint ,he was the original El Pistolero .

thats a hard one, as a young kid it was Kenny, then Rush

think i would have to go with Ian Rush, that also helps that once i met him i found he to be a very nice guy and spent time talking to him , the guy can and tell you every pass that lead to every goal he ever got.
they say never meet your heroes, but with Ian rush your safe lol

In terms of Liverpool, its a tricky one to answer as it changes as time goes on. Started off being Fowler, then Owen, then Gerrard, and finally Alonso. The one player i miss most above any other former Liverpool player is Alonso... knew the day he left us we would be in trouble as everything went through him. You can lose a striker, a winger, full back etc.. but to lose the midfield pivot who dictated the way we played was catastrophic. Easily the most shocking bit of management by Rafa to alienate the brains of the team (his pisspoor manmanagement is why i for one wasn't advocating Rafa to return.. when Stevie Gerrard writes in his bio "maybe i will get a 'well done' out of him one day" you know hes a bit of an odd character). So given that i miss him the most would have to say Alonso. Gerrard i respect the most as no player has ever single-handedly done more.

Globally (all time)... would say either Cruyff, Best or Gerd Muller... and modern day would be Van Basten, Romario, Zidane or Messi.

Overall would probably say Messi.. cant think of another player who makes me tune in just to watch him.
