Unfortunately, this is how we are playing at the moment. I noticed in games we lost, we play with no confidence and just rely on long balls to opposition half which are 90% intercepted and won back by opponents. I hope to see none of this cr#p in the Spurs game. Where's all the tiki taka, ball possession, attacking fluid football that Rodgers always preach about? Without Enrique, Sturridge and Stevie and with Henderson not fully fit but still playing, my heart hope for the best but logic tells me we'll be hammered in those 3 away games esp. the one at City who can thrash any top side at the moment. If they can put six past Arsenal and Spurs, 4 past United, they are well capable of putting at least 4 past us without much effort by half time.
This is the problem with the mission of building for the future. Only now Rodgers has woken up and to a rude awakening to the reality that we need to sign players who can go straight to the first team sheet. In the summer, he was signing players with the long term plan of 4 to 7 years in mind. Why did he sign so many surplus centre backs and forgotten about the midfield and a back up striker? He was committing football suicide and only now he realises it. I hate FSG and I blame them for a lot of the things happening here, but Rodgers have also been too dum in the last transfer window. In my opinion, he should have signed Mohammad Diame of W.Ham in the summer. He is someone who is tough and with great ball control skills that we need in midfield. He will be available for 3.5 million in January and I hope we can get him.
