TOTTENHAM V LIVERPOOL

Liverpool Football Club - Games

If we get 6 points from the next 4 games I think we have done alright and it starts tomorrow at a miserable venue
for us.

Hellish run of fixtures and with injuries to key players.

Unfortunately, this is how we are playing at the moment. I noticed in games we lost, we play with no confidence and just rely on long balls to opposition half which are 90% intercepted and won back by opponents. I hope to see none of this cr#p in the Spurs game. Where's all the tiki taka, ball possession, attacking fluid football that Rodgers always preach about?  Without Enrique, Sturridge and Stevie and with Henderson not fully fit but still playing, my heart hope for the best but logic tells me we'll be hammered in those 3 away games esp. the one at City who can thrash any top side at the moment. If they can put six past Arsenal and Spurs, 4 past United, they are well capable of putting at least 4 past us without much effort by half time.

This is the problem with the mission of building for the future. Only now Rodgers has woken up and to a rude awakening to the reality that we need to sign players who can go straight to the first team sheet. In the summer, he was signing players with the long term plan of 4 to 7 years in mind. Why did he sign so many surplus centre backs and forgotten about the midfield and a back up striker? He was committing football suicide and only now he realises it. I hate FSG and I blame them for a lot of the things happening here, but Rodgers have also been too dum in the last transfer window. In my opinion, he should have signed Mohammad Diame of W.Ham in the summer. He is someone who is tough and with great ball control skills that we need in midfield. He will be available for 3.5 million in January and I hope we can get him.

A win today would be fantastic Psycologically. We would be 2 points behind Arsenal with our next game home to Cardiff at 12:45 which if we dont balls that up we would go top of the league and With Arsenal Facing Chelsea next it could see us top on Christmas day which is a fantastic achievement.

On todays game someone pointed out there great midfield something we lack so I think Pack out the midfield and hope going forward we offer too much.

I would definitely play Moses with his pace and strength he will cause problems.

Our poor record at White Hart Lane has to end sometime, I think today could be the day.

Press them high up the pitch with good intensity, force them into mistakes and I believe Suarez could rip them to shreds at the back.

Sit back and hit long balls and we will almost certainly lose this.

Rodgers' decisions on tactics will win or lose this one.

I'm not sure I agree with Suarez being captain for this one. It is a strong possibility that he might leave us the first chance he gets and a player like that, despite his abilities, shouldn't be captain of Liverpool. Also, didn't we already try this and it didn't work out so well? I'd have Lucas, Johnson and even Skrtel ahead of Suarez to captain the team in the absence of Gerrard and Agger.

Anyway, I agree with what's being said by most here. Press them high and bring the match on their half. No sitting back nonsense, we're not that kind of a team.

I don't know why our lads are still nervous. It's obvious that Spurs are horrible.

Also, Naughton and Capoue are the weak link in Tottenham's team. We should exploit that more.
