NORWICH VS LIVERPOOL September 29, 2012 15.00 GMT

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Norwich had 25 crosses to our 14.  25 crosses is a whole lot of crosses.  If we could contain them on the wings a lot better, I just don' think they would have had many opportunities.

We're not so much as "criticizing" the defense as much as expressing a little bit of apprehension at the defensive side of our performance. The manager himself has stated just as much that he's a tad disappointed with the defensive work in the post match interview, and we're literally expressing the same slight concern.

Now you can go and misconstrue that as you will.

How good was Sahin today? Didnt see the match.

the lads played well today and dominated from the start.we created and finished which was such a joy to see.sahin and suso offer so much creativity to our play and are a joy to watch.
in saying that it is a result we should be getting against a poor norwich side who were guilty of some shocking defending.
great performance though and has made my weekend right up :buttrock

Thought he was a little off his last two games.  But today was back to the way he played the first few.  He was great.  Winning the ball back, great distribution.  Along with Sahin and Gerrard they are a pretty damn good midfield three.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Great result, well done to the team and manager who got balls and faith to play some real exciting young prospects.

Still a long run ahead until we touch the sky but the future is red

Oh and occasionally sickly purple colour on some away games.

Yea that's what I was getting at a bit as well.  We've been playing well our last few games and that's great, and I want to be optimistic as hell and start looking at a massive winning run, but in all honesty our defense wasn't as sharp as they needed to be, and if they keep playing like that we will probably keep leaking goals.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much like I have in the past after a really good result.  If we don't end up with all 3 points next weekend I don't want to feel like we've just started all over again, but I'm much more confident now that we can.

yes we did!  :D

Lovely performance, Suarez world class, Sahin and Allen quality! Wisdom, Suso and Sterling had awesome games.

Skrtel needs to wake up! two vital mistakes this season!

Absolutely, this lad really came out of nothing for me. I had no idea he was progressing so well, looks really solid with possession and passing.

Literally every single game of this season, we've had a goal gifted to the opposition at the hands of Gerrard, Skrtel or Johnson. Johnson's been good otherwise, and today Stevie was great.

Don't forget to give Pepe a mention for his several uncharacteristic c.ock ups that are becoming a far too regular occurrence. Their first goal was largely down to some poor Pepe handling.

If Skertel doesn't replicate his last year performace then he would find the banch warmer as his best friend ,i still have nightmares from all the previous years he "tried" being a football player.

Great game after a run with results that haven't gone our way. Still lacking in the defending though.
