Liverpool Football Club - Games

TAA should have done better, VVD should have scored. It's the little things at the end.

Gonna need some sort of magic to break that bunker now.

I don't see us overrun..both goals were goal kicks Lukako Rushford..too easy..we haven't arrived today..

No? you see us matching them in the middle third? or we just giving them space to launch their attacks after attacks?

Yes both goals are basic fucking Route 1 football from Mourinho book of football strategies but we lost control of midfield hence we are unable to launch any of our attacks

Heavy metal foòtball 2nd half.. make them work, press the hell out of them, make them make mistakes!!
They have a big game on Tuesday so let's at least knacker them up for that.

A real gutless first half from us.

Lovren needs to let lukaju have those headers 30-40 yards from goal. Worry about the second ball, otherwise we’ve lost one of our cbs for them to push forward. They’re going to sit back now and keep pushing us out wide, then stuff the box. They really haven’t looked dominating, just scored first and pushing for counter. If Klopp doesn’t get a fire lit up under our *****, they’ll just run out the rest of the game. Need an early goal to get the pressure on them.

Well...they could have easily be 3-0 up when the entire back 4 took a vacation and let Mata alone in the 6 yard box...both CB just went one way and Alexis lust lob over them and Mata was clear. elementary defending

The Munts doing what they do best - bus park with a touch of Wimbledon FC.

They're ahead, and they've been incentivised to pack the defense. ^ across the back and Bobby, Mane (who has been sloppy but the most promising), and Salah have all been well and truly neutralised. Maureen has done a job on our attack. Why Lovren is up against the battering ram of Lukaku only Klopp knows, Karius' positioning on that first goal was terrible, gave Rashford the entirety of the goal to pick his spot on, very poor positioning.

I think Can has been okay, I'd get Gini on for Milner, he's got the legs and is the only midfielder in this set-up who gets ahead of the ball and with our trio nullified by a 6 man defence we're going to need a ghost runner as well as one of those set-pieces to come off.

I wouldn't necessarily blame Lovren for the goals, Lukaku is going to win headers just like Andy Carroll is always going to win headers, if our gameplan is to win every every single header then we are going to come unstuck because realistically its not going to happen.
What you can do though is defend the second ball which is something we haven't done.

Salah too honest there. Do you think Suarez would have stayed on his feet?

If it were opposite, would young stay on his feet? Not a chance. Every one of their players goes down, and guaranteed pen. Mo has been like this all season. He deserves credit for it, but it certainly costs us some goals. Probably why we’ve had so few pens compared to the other big sides.
