Well we're still in it at the moment, hopefully an Anfield booming night will inspire the lads.

Turkish sides traditionally are nowhere near as good on the road as they are at home but that doesnt mean we should allow ourselves to become complacent, that big lad up front who's name begins with O looks like he has got a goal in him and if they score at our place we'll have a job on our hands to get through to the next round then, we'll have to score 3 on the night or 2 and pens and after what happened last year at this very same stage i'm nopt sure i fancy pens

I heard that they haven’t lost a European playoff match there since the seventies (unless I heard it wrong). Also they will have no fans at Anfield. I don’t really have doubts we will get through but when then? If we play defensively like we did and miss as many chances as we did, we will not progress. Teams that can play like that will not win the cup. If we play like that against a good team we will get embarrassed.

Yeah apparently the last time they lost at home in the knockout stages of the EC/CL was 1973. As for us we are s strange side atm, just when you start believing they completely let you down but conversely when you've just about given up on them they pull a performance out of the hat against someone half decent. You just dont know  where you are with us atm.

Considering we had 6 teams in this phase, all teams played poorly in 1st leg. Probably Newcastle had a decent result. City, Chelsea, Spurs got spanked. Goes to show how weak EPL is this season. Wouldn't be surprised if only 1 or 2 teams progress.

Arsenal could do the quadruple this year, they have a 7 point lead at top of the Prem [although City have a game in hand] and they are already in the final of the League Cup which gets played a week on Sunday, they got drawn against a lower league team in the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup so basically have a by into the Semi's and they are on the cushy side of the draw in the CL as well.
We'll never hear the end of it if they do the quadruple the year we spent 400m.

I'm still hoping they don't win the EPL, if they get a positive result at Etihad then I think it's over. Imagine them winning the Quad, that would be unbearable. They've got a good squad but tbh they aint been all that this season.

I hate the way that team plays, they have also become the new city in how they keep getting decisions go for them. Match after match I watch countless fouls they make go unpunished and they are the first to go down without any contact. PL football has become awful to watch with all this WWF in the box on corners, that’s not football. PL has always been a physical league but now it’s ridiculous what goes on in the box at corners. Like a dark cloud Arteta is bringing the Maureen days back…. Big physical players that rough house yet grab their face without contact, the notion that “anything for a win” is justified and the eventual ‘the world is against us” siege mentality because neutrals cringe at their tactics.

The thing which tends to eff teams up when they are going for trebles and quadruples is the sheer number of not just games but big games [QF's/SF's/Finals/title deciding games in the league etc], normally there's at least one off day in all that lot which fv.cks everything up.
The quadruple is definitely on though, they've got a great chance particularly the way the balls came out the bag for them in the cups.

This City is no where near as ruthless as they were before. I think it is more less done now. Aftv will be unbearable.

Saw the game they played against Everton, Arsenal were the second best team in that game, like in many other matches this season tbh. You definitely need a dose of luck along with quality to win the title.

Hope they stay to just the Premier Legaue.
