I'm usually not very lucky with starting match threads but we're sh1t anyway so might as well.

West Ham was a step in the right direction but Sunderland in current form will be much more difficult. Finally dropping Salah was a long awaited move for last game but so was dropping Kerkez for Robertson yet we've gone back to Kerkez again so I fully expect Salah to be back in the starting 11.

Hope we won't see another groundhog day but for that to happen the manager needs to wisen up and the players to start performing.

Salah on the bench again- wonderful to see players being picked that can do the job and not make us a liability defensively.

Love Salah to bits but he needs to earn his place by coming on when needed and running his b*lls off for the team not just idling when we are out of possesion.

I'd like to see Hugo in the mix also, Hugo, Wirtz,Isak need mins together so they could improve their understanding and form partnerships etc...

Yeah good to see Salah on the bench again and Gomez and Robbo as full backs. Despite the good first goal last time Isak is still suspect for me though and Ekitike at the moment simply does more than him and is more involved.

Finally, Wirzt is playing as a number 10!

Gakpo is wholly ineffective again. I don't see why he starts every game

Pure mule from 1 to 11. That was as bad a performance as, well, the last game. And the 20 before that. No impact from the bench other than Chiesa saving our skin, and that's not why they brought him on. Isak nowhere to be seen, no impact, so static. Mo with no impact. Jones was involved in the build up to the equaliser but aside from that, his usual negative play.
It's backwards we've gone and continue to accelerate in reverse. I think Konate would have been off only for this lenient ref, and Virg looks his age. Really, really poor against a hard working but very limited side.
