I think some would prefer us to lose 6-0.... :lookaround

                                 Mingolet

     Clyne.            Skrtel.        Sakho.        Moreno

                          Milner.          Can

             Ibe.             Coutinho.         Firmino

                                 Benteke

I'd go with that... but obviously Henderson won't be left out since he's the captain...

What that muppet really means is that he will be introduced when he says so and that won't be until he feels the player fully understands what it is that he wants from him.
It has little to do with fitness at this stage as he wasn't injured in the copa america and returned the same time as coutinho.

Wouldn't surprise me if your theory was true mate, the likes of Sanchez and Aguero are starting games and Chile and Argentina actually reached the final, Brazil were knocked out in the QF's.

I don't see the problem in that TBH. If the manager thinks he isn't ready then he isn't ready. We want to ease him into the starting line-up rather than rush things and I have no problem with that.

The line-up vs Bournemouth doesn't need to be so negative though, I agree with that.

I think the team we finished with against Stoke is the team that Rodgers currently sees as his best available. If he deems Can and Firmino fit enough to start then they might come in for Lallana and Ibe. My guess is that either one of them will come in or we’ll stick with the same starting 11. Can’t see him changing the team by risking two players who are borderline match fit.

I just think that out of a team of XI players we can afford to have more than 3 attackers, especially when we are at home playing a side like Bournemouth.
Obviously the team hasn't been officially announced yet so all this might be conjecture but one of the reasons I liked Brendan when he first arrived was his bold approach, I just hope the mullerings we took at the end of last season against the likes of Stoke and Arsenal havent left him a bit risk averse.

Saw a glimpse of Bournmouth last week they look pretty talented especially on the attacking side I hope we get an early goal I just don't like this lineup. Firmino should play as a 2nd attacker and just drop Milner to the bench.

In my opinion Marko missed the boat...A 20m player got his chance last year and failed can't see him getting any minutes with this bloated mf....Another multi million write off courtesy of BR and friends..

Come on the pool :buttrock

Not surprised it's the same team against Stoke. It should be enough to beat them anyway.

Been really looking forward to this game all week. I do wish the lineup had changed a little bit from last week, but we should still have no problem with the players we've got in.

We are lucky to be ahead here. Bournemouth goal could easily have been given while ours should have been offside for Coutinho's attempt to play the ball.

We've got better as half has gone on. Coutinho and Clyne are doing well. Same problems as Stoke game though - Hendo/Milner I don't think is working. And Ibe and Lallana aren't creating much. Can and Firmino to come on at some point surely.
