I'd prefer to see Can in place of anyone of Gerrard, Lucas or Henderson. I honestly don't think we need more than one of those three in the team.

Defence is still a shambles.

Attacking wise there have been positive signs in the past 2 games though. Sterling, Markovic, Lallana and Coutinho were all excellent tonight.

Just nice to win even though we are still such a contrast as a team between forward play and defending and you cannot
hide from that

Shame we where rewarded with Chelsea a team you will probably have to surpass to win anything but not twice, tough luck.

Pleased Sterling found the net but Arsenal is the test and lets not forget Bournemouth stuck with their cup team, not the side
that tops the Championship.

just got highlights of the 1st half but got to see all of the 2nd.
Better performance indeed but could have been one of those 4-3 jobs if their striker's had a bit of luck. It should serve as a confidence booster for the weekend.
Bit disappointed can didn't get longer though but nice to see markovic get 90 mins.

You can see how much better we look by just having someone up front who has pace and good movement, and not just tonight, It was pretty obvious at Old Trafford as well.
I like the 3 at the back, okay it leaves us exposed sometimes but we concede chances anyway even if we try to shut up shop with two banks of four so at least this way we get to see more of our creative players in the starting XI.

Well done boys, i'm a slightly less miserable supporter today although i'm still on suicide watch and not allowed near any sharp objects.

Please don't fck up the next game and go backwards, my life depends on it.   :p

Whether we have the quality needed to challenge for the title remains to be seen, but we've had pace in our game the last 2 matches and that's been the difference and what is the most comparable thing to our style last season.  Real test on Sunday though.....
