Liverpool Football Club - Games

Wanna hear a keeper stat: RVP received only two passes inside the penalty area.
One touch each pass.
One goal each pass.

Should have comfortably won this game, but as usual we can't score a goal.
We really need to look at some classy forward thinking players i.e a right winger and goal scorer.

Absolutely gutted but, we are not far off being a very good team we just need to sort out the final third or more precisely finishing our chances!

It's simple we need another world class striker, if we had someone like RVP in our side today we would have buried them 10-0. I don't like this Comelli nonsense talking down our chances signing anymore players in the break. It's simple we need to take a risk and splash the cash on just one quality signing.

Just a few points:

1. Football can be a cruel game
2. We played well enough today and were genuinely unlucky
3. We play better without Gerrard
4. Carra needs shooting for their first goal
5. Reina needs shooting for their second goal
6. Bring back Glen Johnson

I'm off to cry...f.ucking gutted.

Sure the subs were late but the blame lies with the players.

For me Adam is a liability, he has consistently offered nothing. Downing a close second.

Henderson and Kuyt were good, Suarez immense.

Carragher is past it and he must know it. He always used to struggle with pace but now it is positioning also. Sad but true

When we have bellamy and maxi on the bench...and we insist on playing adam, henderson & downing week in and week out.... I think we deserve our current position.

I thought Downing was one of our better players in the first half but went missing for pretty much the entirety of the second half!!

Agreed about Adam, he just doesn't seem up to it, Henderson is improving but i'm not sure if he is any better then Shelvey he i thought should have come on.

average dross, against a average Arsenal side that was there for the taking.  Charlie Adam is a poor man's Scott Parker and shouldn't be anywhere near Anfield, let alone the starting 11.

And why waiting until the last 10 mins to make a sub?

7th place with a league cup...it might be good enough for some, but not for me.

Downing :censored: me off the most with his "pass" towards Suarez in front of goal

Very valid point with Gerrard there... Worst performance I've ever seen from him in the final. We played well without him controlling the midfield, and that's with Adam being extremely poor with his passing.  Makes you think.

Hendo's ok for today's game. But Adam has to go straight to bench. Offers nothing ,, one dimensional player. Mediocre player. Not good enough.

Coates should play. Should use him more often now. If he's good enough to be in his national team, he should be good enough to start for us.
