LIVERPOOL v tottenham Thur 28th Jan 8.00pm KO

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby ycsatbjywtbiastkamb » Thu Jan 28, 2021 12:27 am

For the first time in seemingly a good while a few results have gone our way tonight, if we manage to beat Spurs tomorrow things won’t look quite as bleak as they have done recently. Apparently De Bruyne is out for a while as well and will probably miss the game against us at Anfield. Yes City have got a tidy 7 point lead over us but if we beat a De Bruyne-less City at home that gap will be halved in one fell swoop.
I thought it was but it’s not quite over yet.

No way is it over but we cannot afford to drop more points. Need to get a win here so the lads need to start copping on and win games.

They are going to park it up so we need to have a plan to break them. Its time for some of our players to step up and make something happen rather than keep passing it off at the 1st opportunity. We have to just keep running at them and not across them.

The only thing I loathe and detest more than Man United is the self appointed special one Maureeniho !! Closing down their midfield supply line to Kane and Son is the key to beating Spurs. Let’s face it a lot of teams have have worked out that if you make life very difficult for our front three then whe have a major problem. Hopefully the return of Henderson and Matip will make a big difference. It’s time to get the show back on the road.

I know it was nice having Maureen and Manure in one place, now I have to spread the hate

I like to keep my hate in one little package

I'm sure we're all aware that ALL sides are going to drop stacks of points until the last game of the season!  We should start a sweep on how few points the league winner will have this season! 83 anyone?

I hate the current crop of tv pundits more than anyone at the mo. Over analysing, declaring a foul when the lad hardly touched him, agreeing with the VAR bullsheet, looking for non existent fouls and offsides and never calling the refs and linesmen out for blatantly bad decisions! And non-stop 90 minute drivel... Motson and the others spoke when they needed to, today's wafflers hardly take a breath from boring us to death with unknown, unnecessary and unwanted stats.

Anyway, lets make sure we batter these barstools...

We’ll do well to stop Kane and Son scoring with Hendo at the heart of our defence. Not sure I would have picked Milner either. The front lads need to bring their A game tonight, got a feeling we are going to have to score 2 or 3 to win this one.

Not a bad first half performance all round. Maybe the boys are turning a corner. It's certainly a lot easier on the eye than in recent weeks

You could tell how much that meant to Klopp, decent first half, lads are trying hard. Please guys hold on and try to nip a second goal.

Thought Matip has been good.
