what i dont understand is why was costa not send off when he stamped on Can and skertel?

Because he's not dumb enough to do it right in front of the ref.

Woof, we played awful in the first half, but they were there for the taking.

Gerrard deserves all the abuse that'll come his way, because that stamp was criminal. I'd expect that sort of reaction from a 18 or 19 year old (or Mario), not a 33 year old captain.
