would have thought suso might of got a game after his impressive second half cameo against united.
good to see pacheco in there again though, hopefully he`ll play in one of the wide positions in the front 3, that lone striker role did him no favours last time.
pacheco and yesil linked up well when the U21 side took chelsea`s U21`s to the cleaners 4-1 a week or so ago so it will be interesting to see if they can replicate that at first team level

If that turns out to be the team and we stick to a 4-3-3 rather than switch to a 4-2-3-1, then I assume Pacheco (or even Downing) play in front of Henderson and Sahin.

                              Jones

Wisdom     Carragher     Wilson     Robinson

                      Hendo     Sahin
                           Pacheco

        Downing                        Assaidi
                              Yesil

With the starting line-up against Norwich on Saturday looking like this:

                         Reina

Johnson     Skrtel     Coates     Enrique

               Gerrard     Allen
                  Hendo/Sahin

       Suso                         Sterling
                        Suarez

A win will do me just a win especially as we are the holders. And the lad Alex jarman who was stabbed to death in camden the night before the final last Feb let's win it again in his memory. RIP ALEX JARMAN

Doubt we would win with that team. I'm sure WBA will field their first team seeing that this competition represents their best chance of a silverware this season.

I Think WBA are facing a lot of injuries and suspensions so it should be balanced. We have the quality advantage ,not that it helped before :) ,but still.

after what happened to kenny (and considering the size of our squad and the injuries we have) rodgers would have to be a mug to put out a stronger team than that though.
bad start or not, rodgers priority has to be the prem, ayre made that quite plain at the end of last season.

Well as much as I feel uncertain about the line-up, I'm very excited to see Yesil, Pacheco, Wilson, Sahin and Assaidi play. If there's one bright spark about the season so far, apart from having a style of play which is slowly setting in, it's the youth players.

If Coates is playing Saturday I would give him atleast a half tonight. Get him used to the way we play in a match environment.

With that rumoured line up I can only see us playing a 4-4-2 in one way either a flat 4-4-2 or 4-2-2-2

                      Jones
Wisdom.   Carra Wilson  Robinson

Downing.    Sahin. Hendo.   Assaidi

                  Pacheco.     Yesil

                         Jones
Wisdom.    Carra.     Wilson.  Robinson

                  Sahin.     Hendo

Downing.                                   Assaidi

                   Pacheco.    Yesil

Or you could put Pacheco behind Yesil so it'll be a 4-2-3-1
