Liverpool Football Club - Games

Its the champs group phase, so i am not concerned.
we barely survived the stages in 05 but still lifted the cup.
If this bad result can deter Rafa from his crazy tactics like a kid burning his hand on a hot kettle, then so be it.
Can you imagine if we play like this against Chelsh1t??
the papers will have a field day.

Shocking play. It can be only better in the 2nd half.

Lay off Lucas there are 10 others out there who have been poor bar reina who can't really have done anything about the goals

Worst game from Rafa in a while, and hes had quite a few this season already...

Lucas - Aurelio... both lost out there... Aurelio isnt playing his natural game and Lucas well... hes just not good enough against better sides...

Insua... didnt cope well with the pressure they had down his side.
Johnson.. exposed
Skrtel... sooner we get rid the better

Kuyt.. wasteful, offered nothing
Benny.. didnt get involved enough, no support

too bad you're only allowed 3 subs i would have taken them all off after that embarrassing display...

Move Gerrard back to the middle alongside Lucas (or better yet bring on Mascherano if hes on the bench), move Kuyt upfront, put Benny down the right and bring Riera on for the left wing...

Reina

Johnson
Aurelio
Skrtel
Carra

Benny
Riera
Gerrard
Mascherano

Kuyt
Torres

And keep that lineup for the Chelsea game....

Surely we have watched this side play? They have good midfielders who move the ball quickly - so what do we do have Lucas and Aurelio against them.

Gerrard should have played in the centre of midfield.

Still though we look so shaky at the back it's frightening.

Said it a hundred times for a couple of seasons.. Liverpool players can't dribble and can't hold a ball under pressure.
I simply can't understand why they don't teach or train them to be? It looks like Rafa doesn't believe a players should know how to dribble or hold on to the ball. All they need to know is a quick kick of the ball the moment they received them.

Coupled with bad first touches, we are absolutely awful. Lack of creativity has been an issue since Houlier times but now it is our hallmark.
Why do we always look for managers that has no imagination for attack? How does it take a good manager 5 seasons to realise in order to win you must attack? It is funny really.

This match more or less is lost. The only reason to play is to salvage some pride by playing well and not lose by a bigger margin.
So far I have not find a reason why we bought Johnson.
He is so lazy and seems uninterested. Does he really improve our defending? Our attacking? He hardly contribute much during attacks.
Maybe we just need more English players.. ???  Am I the only person here feeling this way?
