While I have lost a little "hate" for Bolton since Fat Sam left, I still don't like playing Bolton, they have the dirtiest striker in football in Davies and their style is uncompromising to say the least. Hopefully we will give them a stuffing without gaining too many injuries today.

3-1 to us

One of our many back-up keepers presumably?  Where's Cavalieri, I wonder?

Also interesting that neither Ngog nor Babel make the trip.

I would have dropped Derek he has been woeful the last 3 games, and played Yossi on the left.

Well unless Megson can provide some sort of pick me up, these are short odds to be in the bottom six and as such anything other than a win will be a poor result. I know they knock it long and get in and around it, but we should have far too much quality for them. My one teensy weensy worry is that after winning comfortably, we convince ourselves that the Lucas/Masherano axis is going to do the job for us when I strongly suspect that it isn't.

Like I say it should be a comfortable win, but naturally we'll be a little edgy in the early stages and I wouldn't like us to concede first. Chelsea will almost certainly win, so if we don't we'd be a minimum of eight points behind them. My guess is from there we aren't actually out of it, but a defeat at Stamford Bridge three weeks later would see us gone for all money. No messing about here, it's a brave selection and I hope it gets its reward.
