A lot has changed since the Anfield game. That's our 3rd league game of the season so they new style was still being got used to. Lucas missed the arsenal game and we now have Sturridge along Witt Gerrard Henderson and downing showing some form which wasn't the case in September

There is a lot of speculation about Skrtel leaving this window, with bids coming from various sides, and Rodgers not being his biggest fan.

Maybe these Williams from Swansea rumours have some foundation too to replace him?

If there is no truth in that I can see no reason why Skrtel wouldn't play tonight.  The first choice back 4 have been good for most of the season, and picking Carra against a lightning quick forward line is odd.  Having said that Carra has done very well when selected this season.

Had we not been to Oldham in the meantime, we'd be very confident of a result on the back of our recent form, so we can certainly go and get a result.

wouldn't be surprised if he goes on loan before the deadline along with coates

I think the only changes from the Norwich game will be Reina for Jones and Enrique (if deemed ready to start) for Wisdom.

Hope Enrique and Johnson will start. IMO they're the best left and right backs in the PL. Actually on paper, our first choice starting eleven is not bad. Skrtel and Agger are among the best central defenders. In midfield, we have Gerrard and Lucas also a formidable pair. It's the left and right side in Sterling and Downing which are our weak points. And upfront we have Suarez and Sturridge who are another formidable pair. Despite having a strong starting 11, my concern is when the opposition like Stoke and Oldham know how to play against us and usually win. Hope we won't get beat tonight.

I included both in my eleven, but probably wishful thinking.

Enrique is only just fit so we might see Johnson at LB and Wisdom on the right.

I like Wisdom, and think he will be a good player for us as he develops, but I wish Kelly would hurry up and get fit

we've had mixed success with it. for example it worked brilliantly at stamford bridge when we beat chelsea in torres' debut for them. it also completely nullified everton's threat in the second half of the deby this season when rodgers rever
