18th..

Why oh why did we let Rafa go ?  AND WE PAID FOR HIM TO LEAVE ???

FCKING OWNERS ! Im off to burn flags and buy booze and crack !

In all seriousness though, I havent seen anything to suggest that we'll do any better or worse in the league than what I expected before the season started... Cant remember where i expected us to finish before the season but if i had to guess I'd say forth just ahead of Arsenal..

Last nights result shouldn't overly impact on our league form (aside from the lynch mobs on the forums campaigning against Roy but obviously "not saying they want him sacked"), simply because only Agger out of those who played could realistically expect to get into the first team.

Dundalk said you gotta pick one Mick, don't be such a scaredy cat...

We'd need a huge improvement to get back into the top 4 from where we are now, not saying it cant be done but how many times last season did we expect the good performances to be just around the corner? That farce last night was a hundred times worse than Reading last year, and that was the game where realized it was over for Benitez. Im still angry from last night and I know Im banging on about this but this deep sitting defence is failing miserably. When a side 4 divisions below you can outplay you at home because your team is so deep it cant link up front to back and your no10 (Pacheco last night) is being forced to drop midway into HIS OWN HALF to get the ball, then has 1 player to pass to in front of him its time to scrap your tactics

All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Hand on heart DD and if my life depended on it, I'll go for 5th. That's because I expect a dramatic and constant improvement form Man City which will take the fourth spot out of our reach.
