that would be nice, but it's frustraiting when we are having to accept a 4th place finish...i'm hoping Anelka AND Morientes (or however it's spelt) comes in

interesting that Liverpool 'invited' Jose Murinhio for talks before he joined Chelsea..

Mourinho wrote it in his book, its not a rumour.

Anyways I think with new players signed we will finish in the top four. If we beat Norwich then it would mean that we got 12 out of possible 15 points, which is great imo. We need to win on Monday as we play Man Utd two weeks after.

Whether its Morientes or Anelka or even both, we will play better football and get better results.

If we had not been ravaged by injuries we woulld be at least 4th right now. At this point I can only see the usual 3 teams that are better than us. I am very confident we will claim fourth this season and push on next season.

benitez has performed a minor miracle in my eyes.
to change the style of play with basically the same squad as last year in such a short space of time and considering the injuries to key players i think he deserves a pat on the back.
he conducts himself with dignity and doesnt bemoan his luck.
houllier used to moan about injuries to players he never used to play!!
if steven gerrard hangs around a season or two and the board back him i think he will bring back the title to anfield.
for the first time in years i honestly believe that.

I think Liverpool wanted Benitez more, but we were just talking to other managers as well incase he said no.

i think we went for mourinho because he was selling himself even when he was manager of porto, letting it beknown that he was going to leave no matter what.
the day he chose chelsea was a lucky day for liverpool.
when rafa first came i wasnt keen on another foriegner after sitting though most of houlliers reign bored shitless. i heard a few scare stories that valencia were very defensive and direct and to be honest i feared the worst. i was at the end of my tether with those hopeful punts up to heskey and owen.
i couldnt have been more wrong.
its going to be a rocky road for rafa, there`s no magic wand, but what he is is a excellent coach who turns long ball merchants into neat tidy footballers.
the long balls now tend to be precision passes from xavi and ste g.
i`m prepared to sit through five years of rafa, win, lose or draw because the man plays the kind of football i enjoy.
good luck mr benitez.
