here we go, my support for traore, everyone was sayin he was a waste of money when we bought him, certain to be sold but this season with rafas guidance he has came on amazingly well to become a regular first team player week in week out and has have put in some amazing, match saving performances such as tonight, traore was immense and has been very good for a long time now, he deserves credit

He needs to improve his passes and ball control..... definitely he's good at tackling... let him around for another season... and see whether he's improving or not...

Credit where credit's due, Traore was rock solid. In fairness, that's two games against Chelsea and one oway game against Juve where we haven't conceded a goal. If we were an Italian team, the press would be hailing our "catanachio" mentality, the scrooge-like miserlieness of our defence, the sage-like reading of the game by Carra, the tactical genius of Benitez. Oh my God, imagine if Chelsea had done the same thing!! I can see it now, they'd be wheeling out blokes like Lawrenson "I know Arsenal went a season unbeaten, but I can see this Mourinho inspired Chelsea team going a season without conceding a goal. I really can." thing is though we're not Italian, or Chelsea. We're Liverpool and we got a lucky goal.
Oh yeah, kiss my erse.

Yeah, credit where its due but lets not get carried away.  Traore is an excellent tackler and his marking out of players has improved incredibly BUT (and it's a big but), he will always be uncomfortable on the ball; he can't go forward and use the ball to our advantage; he gets a nosebleed if he crosses the half-way line.  If we want to keep on improving, now is the time to cash in on Traore's higher profile (we could conceivably get as much as £5m) and buy a solid, yet attack minded defender who can use the ball well, bring it out of defence and make telling passes with confidence.  Inspiring as Rafa is, he can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

Exactly, one or two players now have a sell on value.

He's one of them, he's also not good enough. He has however won respect this season for the way he played last night and what he has helped this club acheive. :)

Well done, have a nice career lad.

I thought he was brilliant last night, still uncomfortable on the ball but I dont care, I think every player who pulled on a Liverpool shirt last night was a hero!  Even Oz Slacker (Kewell) was putting in effort last nite!!!
