order of needs:

2. Striker
3. Left Back
4. Central Defender
5. Right Winger
6. Defensive Midfielder

4,5,and 6 are almost interchangeable in terms of priority but they seem to be the second tier of needs ATM and probably won't get solved in this transfer window.  Our wide play has been even worse than the soft middle which has led to so many goals let in.

I think the same and I would like to see this:

1- Hazard
2 - Lukaku/ Suarez
3- Coentrão/ Cissokho
4- Hangeland :D
5- Navas/Wijnaldum
6- Miguel Veloso/Diego Arismendi/Lass

you know Christmas has been and gone don't you?  ???

I think despite or current troubles players could see past that and realise were still a massive club who are in a buildig process and alot of players especially young ones might be interested in that. Were one of the few cubs in debt and also can offer first team football which alot of or rival clubs cant. I think NESV may be forced into buyig early then they would like much in the same way they were forced ino appointing Kenny to sort this mess out. We still have worldclass playesr and afew wins and were up the table. But i diffenately believe he playesr that come in need 2 be top draw. Although in the long run id prefer Lukaku i think Suarez wold be the better option to come in and help at the present as hes more complete. I think we ned to wingers. Any of class of Turan Hazard Chamberlain would do. Then a LB and a pacey CB ad sell the deadwood which we have alot of. I still think we have alot of playesr that we could sell 4 a fair ammount so i dot think moneys an issue. They just ned 2 act fast or were gonna be in the :censored: bigtime. If we get relegated then were looking at about 5-7 years atleast 2 sort it out.

it wont be just money that is available, the right players have to be available too. maybe some loan signings till the end of the season, so half decent players who are bench warming in the prem at the moment.?

in order of priority:

1. BACKUP striker (~£8-12M ...could actually be the same player as no.2 below?)
2. STARTING XI right winger/inside forward (~£15M)
3. STARTING XI left back (<£10M)
4. STARTING XI left winger/inside forward
5. STARTING XI central defender
6. STARTING XI deep lying playmaker

...if we can get the first 3 as a minimum, i think we 'could' push for the final CL spot by May. And besides Poulsen and Konchesky, I wouldn't particularly get rid of any of the current squad (except maybe Jovanovic and Kuyt for £4-5M each)
we've only won it 5 times

The biggest problem Liverpool could face is not only getting good players this month, but getting players who are willing to accept the 50% tax rule. So far only City have signed a big name, which is no surprise, but for us to get a good player not only are we going to have to pay a high price, we have to match the wages, appearance fees, bonuses etc. Just one player could cost a fortune.

Agree w/ Nanny, things seem quiet and calm.  No one pushing the panic button.  People acting like they know what they're doing.

This is exactly how they did their business with the Boston Red Sox. The came away with a few big signing and trade this off season. I really hope they will surprise me the same with Liverpool. But we are at a critical point that we don't have any time to waste. Otherwise, we will be fighting for relegation indeed. If the owners doesn't show the players they are serious in improving the team, we are going to have a long summer saying goodbye to most of our best players and will only be left with the likes of Konchesky, Lucas, Skrtel, Ivonacivic etc....

Spot on Nanny  :buttrock

Totally agree and am convinced that the owners will have plans and will show their intent in the Jan window.

Valid point but I think we will be looking for players who fancy the chance to play in the EPL + the lure of our great club as opposed to those 100% driven by £££.

Thats a good point.. there are several players out there of undoubted ability who seem to have fallen from grace. Europe is littered with 28-30 year old players who need a fresh start and are available at a cut price... some have got to worth a punt.

Example  -  I am very surprised we did not go for Ronaldinho... he is only 30 and a world class player fallen from favour.

Well I`d have that Charlie Adam. He`d sit behind SG and give him the ball where we need him. He`s been one of the best players in the league this season IMO, some of the games I`ve seen him play he`s out Alonso`d Alonso.
Bottom  line he`s a model pro who plays for his shirt and he`s better than Lucas and Pulson.
6m would do it.
We need a comanding CB and a forward of some kind. Someone who is comfortable wide and through the middle. The rest can wait untill summer.
Dont judge a book by the cover, unless you cover just another, because blind exceptance is a sign,
Of stupid fools who stand in line......  Like..
