IN ANOTHER life, Thierry Henry might well have worn a different red shirt. “A kid asked me on Wednesday if I would have liked to play for another team,” the Arsenal and France striker said yesterday. “Straight away I said Liverpool.



“First of all, I would have loved to play with Steven Gerrard and second I like the club and their fans. There’s something about Anfield that you can’t explain.

“I love it when you step out of the dressing-room and you see the Kop, the scarves, and [hear people] singing You’ll Never Walk Alone. Just that, that would do it for me.

He might have proved a better buy than even Heskey or Diouf was

Henry is the one player with possibly Bergkamp i have wanted in the last 10 years.He in my opinion is a class apart.

Some of the goals/tricks/etc. on his highlight clips are just out of this world.  He just has an eye for the game, and the skill and pace to match it.
When I watched Drogba nail that goal against us, I half thought that it was Henry for a second

We do have the benefit of hindsight though, Houllier didn't. Henry always had a lot of talent at Juve, but I don't think anyone could have expected how good he would become, I dare say even Wenger didn't.

Houller made his fair share of very questionable buys, but he's gone now, he did some great things for this club and some obviously not so good. Overall he stills deserves a little bit of repsect IMO and I hope this thread doesn't turn into unnecessary bad mouthing of Houllier.
