Over the moon he has finally signed and for less that we thought. Its a no lose situation because if he is not up to the job we can still get a good price for him because of his contract.

i think he will be a success and will get us 15 premiership goals a season

All the best El Nino. :D

This is probabaly the best compo i've seen of Torres and shows off more of his skills than some of the others i have watched. Certainly looks like he can head a ball and he scores a few goals where he fizzes the ball into feet, bombs on, collects the return pass and finishes past the keeper (much like stevie). Hopefully we will see a few goals of this ilk when he's teamed up with Crouchy.

Sorry if it's been posted before, 44 pages in a thread is too much for one man to trawl through!
(Also a nice piece from luis garcia on the atletico site)

His nickname is "El Nino?"

Listen, he may be a good player, but I strongly disagree with him warming up the Pacific Ocean on a yearly basis.

Torres is a good player but he isn't a star.

Maybe with Liverpool shows better football. Many years, reading spanish journalists about the great player he is (10-13 goals/year penalty kick included), but all can resumed in one thing: Sell newspapers.

Good Luck, Torres. You'll need it.

Bitter? Jealous? Well which one is it? Or both?

"El Niño", or "Niño Torres", or Fernando "El Niño" Torres, but actually is called only "Torres".
