30 million euros = approx £20million

I know, I made a mistake.

Is it £20 million plus Garcia = £24 million

or

£20 million not including garcia so with his £4 mill off = £16 million?

if it's 20 million pounds without including the garcia deal then I think it's a fairly reasonable price... cause it can be considered as 16 + garcia...

but anyone knows whether these official figures are usually really 'true' ? or they just show a reduced figure to please the fans?

If as the reports indicate we got him for around £20million, I think it was a great bit of business. I think even Sabre can't be to displeased at that price. I am chuffed to bits at this signing.

It's a good price in England. It's a lot of money in Spain. I think it's a case in which the one who sells is thinking they've done a good deal, and the one who buys as well. So it seems a good deal.

The BEST bit is that he didn't even consider other offers coming from big clubs, which were better. That means something.

Wonder what are Rafa's plans. Alonso and Gerrard mentioned we have big plans. Torres acknowledges that the goals of the club are unique. This is getting promising.

As usual he said all the right things in the press conference but it was good to hear that he only wanted Atletico to negotiate with Liverpool.
The fee of £20m is a bit more respectable than £27m for Torres as I felt that over £20m was just way too much based on what I've seen of him in Spain. Now he's here though I'm looking forward to seeing him play and hopefully getting himself a good return of goals. I don't think he'll bag the 20 goals that I think a lot of fans will be expecting but I reckon he will get in double figures and if Kuyt and Crouchie can bag as many as they did last season then I think things will be looking very good for us.

HOLA TORRES!  :D  Thats may Spanish language skills used up for this year!!!

shows what a load of f.ucking b0llocks the papers talk. £27m my @rse

£20m (or £16m + garcia, whichever way you wanna look at it) is a good piece of business for a player of his reputation & calibre. gillet & hicks won't be messed with by the looks of it. just what we need - rock hard businessmen at the helm

Blueshite have got a poll going Whos better AJ or Torres

One reply is "The club have announced he will wear the famous number 9 shirt"

What a pile of :censored: that is. The famous number 9 shirt belongs to Everton - the first famous number 9 was Dixie Dean in the 1933 Cup Final.
