I think stu you know we need players, but u r taking it to an extreme by comparing us to neverton. We have shown that on our night we raise our game and can beat the best, the problem is the rest of the season. Maybe we got a cup team mentality now i dunno.

We should have really nailed third place and should be a lot closer to our rivals but we havent got enough coming off the bench, thats my insane view anyway

Dawson, I don't think theres ALOT wrong mate. I've said it a million times. We aren't miles away and there isn't that much "rubbish" in the squad anymore.

I've made if completely obvious where we need to improve.

We NEED a top class centre half and we need at least two first choice strikers. We could also do with a left winger as Harry Kewell isn't reliable, but the left winger we bring in must be as good as Kewell at least.

If we were to sell Kuyt, Crouch and Bellamy, along with Cisse and Gonzalez aswell as the sale of Pongolle we'd raise enough to sign three strikers, and a centre half without question and probably have funds left aswell.

Like I've said, Tevez, Anelka, Owen, Ashton will all be availablefor the right money, Woodgate we missed out on... But there are others. We need four first teamers, no more squad players and no more average players. Four first teamer then we'll be there, we'll have a great squad and a really strong first 11 thats capable of beating the best regularly.

i`d actually agree with a lot of that bar the centre half.
its not a priority.
anelka i wouldnt have back as i think he`s fell out of love with the game and is going through the motions, but to be fair to him when he played for us he was probably, along with gerard, our best player and shouldnt have gone in the first place but thats houllier for you.
owen is finished and more importantly thought we were finished so i wouldnt have him back either.
tevez yes, ashton - looks half decent but i wouldnt pin a championship challenge on him alone.
i`d keep crouch, he scores a few and is something different to throw on, i cant understand managers swapping like for like when that style of forward isnt working.

Another excellent prospect, for Aston Villa, a lad called Craig Gardner. Excellent player from the two games I've seen and one that I would expect to have the ability to play for England.

I would have to see the lad influence a game live first though.

Against ourselves at Villa Park the only players who turned up where the excellent Gareth Barry (who I'd snap villa's hand off) and Steven Gerrard (obviously).

*cue the Agbonlahor shouts*.

Im on the same page as u stu but id keep dirk. Its his first season stepping up a gear league wise and hes had a lot of personal stuff to deal with. Hes earned the chance at a second season.

I'm telling you now, Joey Barton ain't going to Celtic.

I'm not one for speculation, but I'm telling you he's not going to Celtic.

With regard to this season:

It's only been our away form this season where we have been poor defensively, conceding more goals than we've scored, our home form has demonstrated that we are more than capable defensively. I completely disagree that Riise is one of our weaker players. He has been part of a defensive unit that has proven its solidity. The stats clearly prove this, it is more a case of dire away form than a poor defense. Again so far this season we've only conceded 25 to Man u's 26. The stats are conclusive.

Who ever said we were carrying Riise?

Yet again you put words in my mouth and clearly assume I said something I didn't. Read the Riise thread.

In response to your "Riise weak?" coment, I suggest you look at the context of the thread. I said he was one of the weakest players in the first team, I certainly did not say the lad was a bad player by any stretch of the imagination. Now run along.

:no

I am saying he is not one of the weakest players in the first team, likewise I have also made the point that he was part of a team that has done well defensively.

You called him one of our weakest players, it is a TEAM game Stu, the stats back up what I am saying regarding our defense, please read them.

You said, 'this summer is about replacing the weakest players in the team', you included Riise in this list, we happen to disagree over who these 'weak' players are.

I think it's about time you 'RUN ALONG' Stu, as I've said before, cut the chat, go and prove your talent to the world.

You really are a grade "a" bellend aren't you. :D

Again you show a lack of ability to actually read what was written. Considering you were banging on about my spelling, I would have thought (mistakenly obviously), that your reading skills may have been a little better.

I'll repeat myself AGAIN as you clearly lack the intelligence to hear something once and take it in.

>>>>>>>> I never once said Riise was a weak player.   <<<<<<<<<<<<

Did you see that? Up there... look ^.

I classed him as one of the weaker players in the team. Hyypia, Carragher, Alonso, Gerrard, Kewell and Reina are all as good. Thats over half of the first team thats better than him. Of the players mentioned above you could possibly say Agger is of equal ability along with Finnan and Pennant.

Again I repeat, Riise is one of the weaker players in our team. He is not one of our best players, there are probably 5 or 6 players in his position who are as good if not better in the league aswell.

While being a good player and one that isn't in desperate need of replacement he's not one of our best players.

You are saying Aurelio could be the answer to Riise, likewise you think 5 or 6 players in the team are better than him. You also said he was 'one of the weakest players in the first team'

I think it is reasonable therefore to say you think he is weak. Or that he has weaknesses, or that he is weak in areas.  What constitutes weak Stu, it is a very broad word.

Your English is dire. you still haven't learnt that it's whether and not weather, not to mention your manners, you have no manners, no standards, and no self-discipline whatsoever.

Would you have the balls to dish out all this abuse to people's faces? No, I think not, you'd get a right hook, and not just once.

You do it on an internet forum because you think you can get away with it, simple as that, it's cowardly. Would you go up to a big guy in the pub who you disagree with and call him an 'a class bell-end'? No, why?, because you're a coward.

Anyone who disagrees with you gets the 'your a bell-end' treatment. Its your way of going about things and it's pathetic, absolutely pathetic.

Here's a FACT, Stu is a TIT!!

If you think you are so right, why even bother coming on here?

People have a right to express their points without being told
off. Eg. LFC2007 seems to be making sense to me you just dont want to agree that someone else probably knows better than you. Your the one that always has to be right.

Calm down and make some reasonable points without slagging
people off. Get over yourself.

So you know Joey Barton isn't going to Celtic for definite, you're absolutely certain 100%?, did he specifically tell YOU this Stu? Did you speak to him and specifically ask him this? Is he one of your 'professional' contacts? Do you know him personally Stu?

Or is this just yet another 'Mr know it all' statement.

Absoloute quality.

You again clearly can't understand the point being made.

You also go away from the topic by having a pop at my inferior spelling?

Who gives a feck about spelling unless you're an english teacher?

You then proceed by judging someone on a personal basis you know absoloutely nothing about what so ever.

I know this much about you Stu, you're a bully, a bigot, an insulting, mannerless, disrespectful coward.

You have no standards, because everyone is below you, you can judge but cannot be judged. This at the very least is what I can deduce from your posts.

I'm sure it's a hell of a lot worse in real life.

You're a coward, you chat like the big man over the internet.

All talk and no balls.

You wouldn't have the balls to say these things face to face, why don't you come down my local Stu, come and call me an 'a class bell-end' to my face.

Ask the people who've met me on the forum about my mannors and "weather" or not they think I'm a bigot. :D

As for being a coward, how on earth can you pick that up from posting on an internet forum?

I come on here to chat footy, with people who know an understand the game, Mick, Bob, Scott, Scottbot, Ace... its just unfortunate that amoung the good posters there are idiots here aswell.

The idiots will be shown the same amount of respect they always have and the amount the deserve. If you don't like it, you know where the door is.
