The five fixtures from the Birmingham game onwards, I predicted no more than 7 points and some people obviously thought I was nuts, because Sunderland and Blackpool were absolute bankers, right? Now it looks like we could end up with posibly just 1 point from the 15. Disgraceful. You can see evidince of p*ss poor tactics all over the pitch in every single game we play in. He needs to go. He's just not good enough to steady this ship.
slice of it too.
me the players cannot even string a series of passess together, no manager can do anything about that from the bench.

He could have ditched the Wilson and Jovanovic if he'd wanted to. This season is down to him and him only. Rafa wouldn't have ditched Aqua this year either. I doubt a relegation fight is on the cards but in terms of Hodgson's future once these things snowball they tend to generate their own momentum. One has to wonder whether the players believe in his tactics and if they don't he's a gonna.

Whilst Roy takes a lot of the blame, the players have to take a hugeslice of it too.

No movement, no creativity, no passion. They should beashamed of themselves at the moment.
Yeah i agree Roy isnt helping with his negative tactics but jesus, even if we were setting the world alight with attacking play our defenders are pathetically out of sorts.
The midfield dont know what each other is doing and the forward line is non existent.
Sacking Roy ( he dont deserve it just yet ) will not be a magic fix, i have no idea what is.
Come January the clearout will be immense. Not sure how we can recover from this.
It's a very sad day

the rest of this season is about Roy sorting out which players to get rid of. Many chumps and ponces in this squad and he was left this krap by the last manager.
Judge Roy at the end of NEXT season.

Roy has just walked into too much than he, or any other manager, could handle
Thought you were going for a drink. Don't be so obsess with Rafa and explain for Roy's failure. Just move on and what should we do now?
Now?
Now we dont go to the Everton game. No one goes, not a single fan. Then the same for the next game. And the next.
(ok, need drink)
and im not obsessed, i just cant believe how short peoples memories are when it comes to how many mistakes previousm anagers have made when having a go at our present one
and missed the playoff for 5 years mow. The difference in the urgency is that there is no relegation in the NHL and they don't have any format like the equivalent of European football to rely on those income. Here, once relegated, it will take many years to get back to the top league. And we play less game in a season. So, we need to act fast and remedy the situation as change is needed right now. Roy always get us start playing on the defensive from the start and I for once not surprised with our first half performance today. Once you start going defensive, it will be hard to turn it back on. This is where roy' poor decision comes in place and have nothing to do with what rafa had done.LFC2007 wrote:I've felt as if it's been last season revisited a few times this season - after nearly every game in truth, except after the opening day where we won a courageous point against Arsenal. But like many and with good "footballing reason" (seriously) I fully expected a big reaction today - a good 3-0 win with Torres getting on the scoresheet. It's Blackpool, we're at home, we have MUCH better players, we NEED the fecking reuslt etc... A draw would have been a disastrous result for us but a defeat is a total fecking joke. Seeing us taken apart by plumbers felt bad but it was a second string side we had out and only the Carling cup; the league is where it's at and Blackpools have to be givens. All of my recent posts were premised on us beating Blackpool so for sure you do begin to contemplate the previously unthinkable. Our fight to stay in the race to stay in the race as it were hangs by a thread and just how bad does it have to become before you actually do decide to pull the trigger? Everton away next (and presumably no Torres?)and the way the two teams compare you could quite easily see it being 4-0 to them. What then? Does a draw even help much? What a state we're in.
