Another shocking result.  Rafa has to be more brave.  Make changes when it aint working.  Whether it be 30 mins or 60 mins.  Just make the changes!!!!

Are we any stronger up front this season than last?  It doesnt seem that we are to me.

No, Riise can f#ck off. Having him in our squad is like playing with a handy cap. I have all the trust in the word in Finnan,Carragher,Hyypia and Agger. But Riise is a different story.

Time and time again we concede goals due to his stupidity.

Squad player at best, can't wait to see someone displace him.

We should had been 6-1 at half-time. The players should had won that game before the second-half.

Apart from Crouch there weren't many options on the bench for us attacking wise.

The fact of the matter is that our finishing [as a team] is :censored:. We need 20 shots on goal to score 1 goal [I read that somewhere the other day].

That's :censored: woeful.

Ditto A.B

the same problem we had last year and we havn't fixed it yet.

We lack composure in front of goal.

I swear one day, you will see Rafa going on the pitch showing the player how to score a goal  :D

Finishing is the reason why we failed to catch Utd last season and the reason we're so far behind this year as well.

It's not the back four or the lack of creativity, because despite all of that we create chances but we couldn't score in a brothel.

Now I know we've scored 3 or 4 against the lower sides, but we should had scored more considering how many chances we had. [like today].

After we took the lead so early on, I thought that we would win 3 or 4 nil.

Actually, we need creativity in our strikers, without it we won't finish easy chances. Rafa must buy a creative and a good finisher (Villa)

I thought if we had alonso today, we would have had an advantage of his excellent passes, but it was a good comeback from sissoko, he fought for every ball and actually created an opportunity in the first half which bellamy should have buried!

I agree, these things will cost us! Rafa needs to fix this right now! or it will cost us against Barcelona.

We've been saying that all season and it still hasn't been fixed, it won't be fixed in two weeks.

I fear that Barcelona will slaughter us.

, without it we won't finish easy chances.

Our finishing is woeful period. We miss easy chances week in and week out, sitters absolute sitters [look at Zenden].

I think it's a physiological thing more than ability wise. I can relate to it [probably most can] when you're playing footie and you have an easy chance, in your mind the ball is already in the net. And then you f#ck up.

That's what seems to happen to our players.

I think the problem is the high tempo we play, I don't know how to translate the expression from Arabic to English, but if you are quick, you may regret it later. Maybe lowering the tempo a bit in games, you know keep it cool, don't add pressure on the play, let the strikers keep their cool and they may end up scoring those easy chances.

Thats one thing, maybe you will disagree with me.

agree with most on here about the finishing.....it was terrible.

we could have won that game by far but we just couldn't score, and once they scored i knew we would regret those chances missed, and we did.

Bad day at the office.

Well we're going to have to score a goal some time in the two legs aren't we?

Our strikers have pace, size, and creativity.  Unfortunately, we don't have a striker that is not only able to create chances, but to FINISH them as well.  I'm sure everyone here agrees that this is beyond frustrating.  Villa in the summer is a great shout, but in the meantime players need to step up.  We can't play like this against Barca.  If players want to win over the fans and show their true worth, then I suggest they improve their performances.  And fast.

I'm not talking just about our strikers, our players in general are woeful in front of goal when chances are presented to them.

Good point.  Our strikers are often at fault but you are right about the others.  Also, it seems like it's a different player every time, too.  Like I said, something inspirational needs to happen soon to these players.
