Keane? Let's not go there please. :D

Yeah we need some backup for Alonso and Masch for sure and mr Levia is not good enough.

Ther were plenty of players worse than Lucas last night - Skrtle ,Fabio and Reira to name 3 . Xabi had just as poor a game as lucas - they were both swamped in there - gerrard did nothing all game - Arbs and Kuyt were slightly better with just torres and carra maybe leaving the stadium with their head held high .

No one is denying others were poor too but Lucas is rubbish most of the time.

Oh FFS Keano, hes gone and thank god he has.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

If Rafa had the choice, he would not have played Lucas in such a massive game. Lucas is no question Shyte. He is what he is. I never question his effort but we have to accept the fact that he has limited skill and we just have to deal with it this season. Rafa should go out and get another experienced CM (Sell Lucas and add a few million to get Barry) But i think it's time to find a new scapegoat :D .

Why not play Spearing , seriously now he can not be any worse than Lucas and I actually think he would be a hell of a lot better. Look at Manure they take a gamble with a 17 year old and it pays off big time, maybe just maybe it would work for us as well, and if it doesn't, well he can always be subbed can't he but at least give the kid a chance?

I have given Lucas a lot of slack in the past becasue I have been of the view that there is a player in there somewhere, and he will never show what he can do with everyone on his back.

However, I now think the player will only emerge in a slower league. Italy is the league for him. We should get our money back, or hopefully a little more. As for Spearing, he has looked good whenever I've seen him, and he really should be ahead of Lucas in the pecking order.

playing a kid up front when he had no other options is different to put an inexpirenced kid into the centre of midfield during a cl quarter final against 3 world class cms , took big a risk for any club to take .

A handful of performances in 2 years? What does that tell you? Either loan him out or if we need the money sell him.
