Now a rafa out protest would be the way forward here, let's get things right on the pitch first then deal with other issues, last time I looked we were a football club and that means football comes first and while we have this 'genius' at the helm we are running in treacle

I think the best way forward is to have no protests, no negativity at all and to support the team. If the team fail, everything else falls into its own.

peewee, getting the yanks out will solve certain issues both on the business and the footballing side of the club. I agree if we lost Benitez, things would be different as well, but now the window has shut any manager we get in from now until the summer, will only have the current crop of sh!t to choose from. Let Benitez see the season out, lose him, the yanks and 50% of the current squad and start from scrarth again.

4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

Maybe you are both right but I will never link the owners to poor play on the pitch

No, nor will I, but as much as rafa can be blamed so can the players.

The players can take some of the blame granted, but players are bought by the manager and told what to do by the manager, picked by the manager. So the blame ultimately lies with Benitez. It's him who still picks Kuyt and Aurellio.

I will never blame what's happened behind the scenes to what happens on the pitch, it's two different issues, both of which this season have been laughable.

Off the field issues have unquestionably affected the team, just ask Torres.

I think the players are using that as an excuse, trying to buy themselves some time to get out of the rot they're in.

How?

It's not Tom and Jerry who go out and perform like that, just like it's not Gerrard and Carragher who decided we should talk to Klinsmann. It's two different issues which don't collide.

I thought Pennant was a little quiet today, yet he was still one of our better players. He took defenders on, and beat them, and put in a few good crosses as well.

Skrtl was verry impressive also. Very pleased with him.

But Torres, oh lord Torres. The guy is an absolute star at just 23-24 years of age. He will no doubt be a kop legend before he hangs up the boots. That's for sure.

Ah its great talking positively for once. Feels weird, but great!

They met Klinnsmann, that undermined Rafa's position. Some players may well have been unsure where their futures lay.

Then you have the speculation concerning a takeover bid by DIC, a change in ownership can often lead to a change in manager.

Above all else, the lack of communication from our owners towards Rafa must have created uncertainty amongst the players. In order to be focussed, in order to know where their futures are, they have to know who's going to be in charge for the foreseeable future - that requires certainty and clear communication. We had neither.

The two issues are linked.

Uncertainty affects people, consciously or otherwise.

Well IF and it's a big if trust me, they should be performing out of their skin rather than the way they have been. IF they are uncertain about their future, they should be performing as well as they possibly can to ensure the new manager (if there is 1) doesn't wish to sell them.

people still linking both things, I suppose the last three seasons in the league are also down to uncertainies off the pitch.  :D

The fact is our football is poor for one reason and one reason only, we had poor results before the supposed problems with the owners, this is just an excuse used by people who want a scapegoat other than the real problem rafa.

Let's remember pre season rafa got every player he went for, or he was backed for every player he went for, then he messed up by having no back up plan for hienze. But still the owners get stick, and why, because they told rafa to shut up and do his job so he acted like a child about it.

Just give him his 6 large ones and get rid of him so we can move on
