We should win this comfortably if we score in the first half.

My team would be...

Reina
finnan,carra,hyppia,arbeloa
gerrard,masch,lucas,benayoun
torres,kuyt

COME ON REDS!!!!!!!

OFFICIAL: Reina, Arbeloa, Carragher, Hyypia, Riise, Benayoun, Gerrard, Lucas, Kewell, Torres, Crouch. Subs: Itandje, Mascherano, Babel, Kuyt, Hobbs

Torres and Crouch upfront is right

good line up that

                       Reina

Arbeloa    Carragher  Hyypia    Riise

Benayoun  Gerrard     Lucas     Kewell

               Torres  Crouch

As we dont have a game midweek, I'm supprised to see Lucas prefered to Masherano, but, rotation is the name of the game, and Lucas has been showing promise

good to see hobbs on the bench as well. With any luck, we'll get a good lead, and it'd be good for him to get 20mins at the end... get some more playing time

the pair we need to fear is anelka and campo.
campo has created quite a few chances for anelka this season already.
but i doubt it will be a tough game.even thought they beat united last weekend, they can't upset us at anfield.and surely not the way we've been netting goals now...

rafa will surely chop and change a little.
it's become a hell of a task to pick a team of 11 nowadays.
i could pick 20 easily...

I have a terrible hang over (celebrated birthday yesterday) but I have my big bottle of water, the tv, and everything ready for the match.

Man City is showing signs of weakness or so I've read, and it's a good chance to gain 2 points of them. This must be a win, no matter if we play well or badly.

Come on red men.

Good line up.....

Glad to see Crouch getting a starting role in this one. Let's hope he's up for it and not look disinterested.
Curious to see Lucas getting in the starting line-up ahead of Mascherano.....

Wonder if Rafa's preparing for the eventuality that he may not have Masch.
Real shame if we lose him but I digress.....

C'mon boys! Let's show 'em how to play REAL football instead of the cr@p they dish out..... And watch out for Nico...

Glad Lucas is starting weve got a little gem on our hands with him. I mentioned in another post somewhere that he reminds me of Xavi who plays for Barca . Confortable on the ball and great passer, But can also do his share of tackles. Can play either holding or attacking mid.

It's alright bav......

We need to focus on each game as they come...... It's because they are so physical that we need Carra imo...
