The Marca newspaper reported that Liverpool have made a 1200 million pound offer for Owen; and Cisse and Baros are leaving.

Marca were the first ones to speak to Rafa when he was ready to sell after Stevie said he wanted out. If this is from Marca then it looks like MO is back after all. I have to say i am happy but i also have mixed feelings. I dont think Cisse should have made way.

It basically says that yes Cisse and Baros will be sold to make funds for Owen. Its also says that Real are already to full up front have just signed Baptista and Robinho.

heres a translation from freetranslation.com of the article

The Liverpool, in force champion of the League of Champions, would be willing to offer 12 million pounds (more than 17 million euro) to obtain the return to Anfield Road of the forward one of the Real Madrid Michael Owen.  As it reports today the newspaper 'The Times', the imminent exit of Anfield of the rams Djibril Cissé and Milan Baros would permit the return to which was its house of the forward English.

Besides, the newspaper indicates the existence of negotiations among both clubs to close the exit of Owen, that after the arrival of Baptist and Robinho was not going to enjoy of many minutes before the hard competence in the attack of Madrid.

Rafa Benítez would be delighted to count in its rows with Michael Owen, that has shown its desire to saturate in a team where can play with asiduidad, due to the proximity of the World one of Germany.  Besides, the seleccionador Sven Goran Eriksson has not hidden its happiness by the return of the English to the 'Premier' with a view toward the important appointment of the next year.

Maybe this will work out after all. Its not only good for England and MO but also good for SG. As it must be reassuring hes at the riught club if his old pal has just come back form the supposed best club in the world. I can get My own shirt out again. Yipee. Notice that Subside sports have still been selling Liverpool shirts from a few seasons ago with Owens name on it for premium price. This move ihas been on the cards since the day he left.

So Cisse is going to Lyon, Baros goes to Villa and Owen is back.

I'd rather to sell Dudek to make up the money instead of Cisse...

hope this isnt true. cisse making way for owen, no way thats sh!t   if this turns out to be true i have lost a lot of respect for rafa, he cant get rid of our star, hes commited, the fans love him and hes a very talented player, our best striker. does rafa even know what hes doing? if this is true hes a fool. i dont believe this, it cant be true he wouldnt be that stupid

that would leave us with owen, crouch who will be sh!t most likely and a mis-firing morientes

or it could be cisse owen morientes and crouch, which sounds better rafa?

Well i feels sorry for Cisse but hey it looks like a very quick piece of buisness to me and Rafa knows they GH has 26M to spend so im sure he must have thrown a big figure at Rafa. Dont forget that Cisses leg could always flare up again.

cisse is CL cup tied so selling him would make no sense as his value would be significantly decreased.

Does anyone know how much we still owe for Cisse? We also owe money for Xabi Alonso.
What if we still owe about 8 million for Cisse? I can imagine Houllier would pay over the odds, I dont want Cisse to leave noway, but maybe this is the problem, dont forget Stevie is getting 100 grand a week now and Jamie C 65, Harry Kewell 65 grand a week also, maybe we cant afford MO and Cisse's wages :kungfu:
