Did anyone see that MASTERCARD advert in the echo tonight, it went something like:

NIGHT OUT AT KARAOKE BAR              £120
5-IRON                                                  £85

One time, I saw a man looking at me, yes, with his eyes. And then, he, he picked up a tube. And he looked, in the tube, and he made the moon big, inside the tube. The moon big inside a tube! Waahaha... Aaah. Telescope.

Just want to add a congrats from a Yid, thought you were well deserving of the overall progression and it's a shame you couldn't have put one of those quality first half chances away to cement it proper.

Obviously I wasnt there, but watching on tele, one of the main things that stuck out for me was a Barca fan -

There were 2 or 3 minutes left, his team was desperate for a goal, then you lot started the 'You'll Never....' thing with the scarves in the air, and the man was caught on camera fumbling for his camera to capture it.

I think that says a lot about your support.

Nice one, now batter the Goon filth in the next round.......

I hope they win the UEFA Cup.

Great result to beat the reigning champions, and the best team in the World. Steve Finnan and JC joint MOTM for me, but over the 2 legs, JC gets it. Absolutely fantastic job.

But we can't let it go to our heads. We have to treat every game the same as this one - we can't afford not to.

The UEFA Cup is still a good competition, but it's been bogged down by an overinflated Champions League and a format that doesn't have the appeal that a straight two-leg knockout format would.

Well, I dont want to detract from your glory thread here, but I will  :p ,

I agree, I still prefer the the old European Cup format really, and I also agree the group thing for the UEFA is silly, but it meant that we have already had 5 or 6 European matches (won the lot!) this season which is good for coffers etc (that said, Spurs season tickets should be more than enough to roll the club)

Still old fashioned, and a stickler for the classic, "franchise" free football tourneys though.

Actually, I really like Spurs too.  We'd love to do the Gooners for you mate - but wouldn't you rather PSV did it?  We want to draw the Mancs first and foremost...

See, this is the problem when you get a decent player in a *swallows pride* second tier team. Straight away, rumours start and you wonder how long you can keep 'em.

Berbs is class, pure class, I just hope the club carries on growing with him.

His goal against the bluesh*te two weeks ago was incredible.  How many has he got this season now?  (Sorry to everyone, I know this is an LFC thread but...)

Seems a really good player.  Apart from one shot off the post for Leverkusen didn't do much against us, but we dominated them totally over two legs, so it's not suprising.
