like everyone...i'd love to see us get back into the title race.  But, i honestly cannot see TWO teams dropping so many points.  1 team?  its possible...but for 2, it would be unheard of.

I think we cannot do anymore than we're in the league...just tqake one game at a time and don't look at the league table.  Just worry about winning and then at Easter have a look to see how we're doing.

the only possibility of us winning it is if we beat manure, chelski and arsenal at home...and tottenham at white hart lane. if we win them then im positive about winning. but is that realistic? no. but i'd love it to happen. good morale boosting king kenny!!!

Of course mathematically we're not out of it.....

but with the bad start of the season and how bad i felt everytime we lost away cos i felt the premiership slipping away, id like to think that we're just going for 3rd place...

if we get to within 5 points or so i may start believing again.

Manure and Chelski would have to lose a few games for us to even get level with them. And that's if we don't lose any more games, which is unlikely.

Not being pessimistic, just realistic.

So?

Maybe I'm just being thick here, but I can't see the point you're making. Manure didn't win the league last season, so why should this little pearl of wisdom inspire us?

We lost the league back in August/September. We haven't picked up a single point against Manure/Chelsea/Arsenal this season so a couple of wins against poor team doesn't make us contenders.

spot on.

until we can start getting league results against chelsea, we're never going to be in the title race

we're simply too far behind already. the dire away form in the first six games has cost us big time. we've already lost five games. we only lost six in the whole of last season. ok you could say that the fixture list wasn't exactly kind to us but some of the performances (sheff utd, man u, arsenal) just weren't acceptable.

FWIW i think we'll be third again. chelsea will win the league because their squad has so much depth to it. manure's first eleven is really strong but if they get any key injuries to the likes of rooney or ronaldo, they'll be severely screwed.

i think the Arsenal performance was the worst....

i have been shocked with how much fergiescum has got out of his squad this year , but believe that a lot is down to shcoles and giggs having a good year

iht that they would struggle this year (hope and prayed) to stay with the top 4

chelski will win this year as they are relentless and will buy a rb and another 30 striker if they feel like it which no other team can match, also that diving carthorse drogba is on fire at the moment and is up for a 30 goal season, imo to strong for untied to keep up with

can we get second?  only if the scum hit a bad patch and we pick up point off the bigger teams as lately we are playing all the strugglers and we have a easier run in than most so second is achievable and we are on a role at the moment

I don't like talking about whether we're still in with a shout i would much prefer letting our football do the talking and let others decide for themselves.  We need to keep winning home and away at the moment thats the only thing we need to be saying.
